Chapter 332 - Chapter 332: Peace, War, and One Really Bad Day

[BOOM!!!]

A thunderous explosion erupted.

The defense led by Minato had failed.

He was blasted away by Obito's explosive tags—blown clean off his feet… or rather—

His entire body was pulverized into dust.

"Uchiha Funan!"

In his final moment, the one who flashed through Minato's mind wasn't Obito.

It was—Uchiha Funan!

If it hadn't been for your obsession with explosive tag tactics, would I be getting my ass handed to me like this?

Sure, it worked great when you were the one using it in battle.

But I'm the one paying the price here!

'The one who lost this fight isn't me—it's you, Uchiha Funan!'

Minato raged in his mind.

He had been tasked with protecting the Four Red Yang Formation.

Before reinforcements from the Allied Shinobi Forces could arrive, Obito had already sent him flying to the heavens.

With one side of the formation now gone, the barrier shattered.

And at that moment, the Ten-Tails broke free.

A face emerged on the surface of the Divine Tree.

It threw its head back and roared.

Tremendous power gathered in its body.

Tailed Beast Bombs—

It was preparing to launch four of them at once!

"What the hell?!"

Tobirama frowned and turned toward Yako.

"Understood!"

Yaeko nodded and summoned every ounce of her chakra. With a growl, she shouted: "Adamantine Sealing Chains!"

[CLANG! CLANG! CLANG—]

Countless golden chains erupted from her body, snaking out toward the Ten-Tails.

"ROAR!"

The Ten-Tails thrashed wildly, letting out a furious scream.

Several chains snapped instantly under the strain of its monstrous power.

"Second Hokage, hurry! I can't hold it much longer!"

Yako's voice was tense and desperate.

"On it!!"

Tobirama flashed in with Flying Thunder God, appearing right in front of the Ten-Tails.

He stared it down, utterly unfazed by its massive size.

With a cold smile, Tobirama plunged his hand into his own chest.

When he pulled it out, he was holding a handful of explosive tags.

"Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags!"

[BOOM!!!]

A storm of tags ignited all around the Ten-Tails' head.

And they kept going—one after another, nonstop.

Even in the form of the Divine Tree, the Ten-Tails howled in pain.

"Water Release!"

Tobirama clapped his hands together. A barrage of high-level water jutsu burst forth—all aimed straight at the Ten-Tails' face.

He didn't know where the tree's weak spot was—but hey, when in doubt? Go for the face.

And while these were water techniques, in Tobirama's hands, they hit like a tidal armory.

Wave after wave of jutsu crashed against the Ten-Tails.

In the blink of an eye, its bark was riddled with wounds, and entire branches were sliced apart.

"Second! Get out of the way!"

A booming voice rang out.

A blazing orange energy sphere slammed into the Divine Tree.

[BOOM!!!]

The explosion made the entire tree shake violently.

"ROOOAAAARRR!!!"

The Ten-Tails screamed in agony.

It was hurting.

"Finally!"

Tobirama glanced back to see hundreds of reinforcements arriving.

Elite jonin from Konoha, Sunagakure, and Kirigakure had arrived in force.

They stood in formation, grouped behind several Kage-level shinobi.

Each Kage led a separate squad—maximum coordination to unleash the full power of their troops.

"Good. Let's hit it together!" Tobirama pointed at the Divine Tree and shouted, "Shatter it into splinters!"

[WHIRR!]

A shadow appeared behind Tobirama, reaching for him.

[SWISH!]

In a flash, Tobirama vanished, reappearing behind the attacker.

[THUD!]

With a muffled impact, Tobirama slammed the figure to the ground.

"Kid, I'm not the Fourth." His voice was icy as water surged around his hand, pressing Obito down.

"The Fourth held back because of sentiment. I don't have any. I only want to carve you into pieces."

"Water Release: Hard Whirlpool Water Blade!"

"Guh—!"

Obito groaned.

His space-time abilities were being forcefully suppressed.

Without Hashirama cells, he'd be dead by now.

"Everyone, attack together!"

At Tobirama's command, a flood of ninjutsu came crashing down on the Divine Tree.

Individually, they weren't strong enough to faze it.

But together, the damage piled up.

The Tree trembled—

It shrieked—

It raged—

And for the first time… it began to fear.

After absorbing so much chakra, even without its full core, it had started to develop consciousness again—

Or rather… regain what had once been lost.

In that moment, amidst the raging assault, it began to feel fear.

Fear—of the will of these shinobi.

It was the origin of all chakra, and yet now, it cowered under the force of their chakra.

Why was this happening?

"Hmm?"

Uchiha Madara, locked in battle with Hashirama, and Obito, struggling under Tobirama's relentless pressure—both of them paused.

They instinctively glanced toward the disturbance, expressions growing grim.

If even the Divine Tree… was reacting like this, then what about them…?

So be it.

If it's come to this—

We'll proceed with the final plan!

Obito subtly moved his fingers, transmitting a silent message.

Yako felt it instantly.

She gasped, "Second Hokage! A powerful chakra is approaching—it feels just like the First Hokage!"

"What?!"

Tobirama froze for a split second—then was violently struck by a tremendous force.

[Boom!]

Tobirama was shattered into pieces.

"Hehehehe!"

A strange, cackling voice echoed through the air.

A masked figure appeared.

"Do you know the feeling of shitting?"

The man tilted his head, grinning wildly at the others with unsettling laughter.

"This guy…"

Yako's eyes locked onto him, and she murmured, "That's Wood Release… no mistake. I can feel it—it's definitely Wood Release."

"Wood Release?!"

Tobirama's form reconstituted, his eyes narrowed dangerously.

"Little girl, do you know what you are saying?"

"There's no mistaking it…"

Yako had exceptional sensory skills.

But there was no need for further confirmation—

Because the masked figure began forming hand seals.

And in the next instant—something terrifying unfolded.

Kanzeon Lotus King!

A massive Buddha statue appeared before them, towering and imposing.

Its face was calm, almost serene—but to those watching, it was unspeakably grotesque.

"Hehehehe!"

The masked man laughed again.

"Now, really—can any of you describe what taking a shit feels like?"

[Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!]

One by one, colossal arms swung down.

[Bang!]

[Bang! Bang! Bang!]

[Rumble!!!]

"Waaahhh!"

Shinobi were sent flying like rag dolls.

[Zoom!]

[BOOM!!]

A black energy sphere shot forth, smashing into the Buddha's face, halting its attack.

"Don't just stand there!"

Fugaku, still maintaining his massive Susanoo, shouted, "Everyone, attack with me!"

"Right!"

With someone taking command, the others snapped back to their senses and launched a coordinated attack.

They were afraid—

But now wasn't the time for fear.

Sadly… even as they pushed back with all their might, the gap in power was too overwhelming.

Within moments, the battlefield was littered with casualties.

...

Far away…

"How about it, Hashirama?"

Uchiha Madara stared at the grim-faced Senju Hashirama.

"This trump card… I've prepared it for a long time. It's not as powerful as you, sure—but for cleaning up small fry, it'll do just fine!"

"Madara… how much longer do you intend to stand in my way? How long will this madness go on?"

Madara threw back his head and laughed.

"What's wrong with fighting together, huh?

Oh, you don't like that answer?

Then I guess I'll just have to get rid of you!"

The two clashed once again.

But this time—

Hashirama was clearly being pushed back.

Madara felt it too.

And he grew more eager by the second.

Meanwhile, Obito slowly rose to his feet, rotating his sore shoulders.

Tobirama hadn't held back. That blow had caused excruciating pain.

But still—

If it meant completing the final plan…

Then it had all been worth it.

Obito emerged atop the Ten Tails' head, stepping through a swirl of distorted space.

He began forming hand seals.

"Obito, stop!" Minato's voice rang out.

Revived once more, Minato stared at Obito with a grim expression. "Stop this. If you keep going… do you really think you'll get what you want? None of it is real."

Obito's expression remained calm. "If it's a world where Rin exists… then it's not fake."

A flash of lightning cut through the sky.

Obito grunted, staggering slightly. His gaze shot to the side—at the man who had just struck.

Hatake Kakashi!

"You didn't hold back at all, did you, Kakashi?"

"Obito," Kakashi said coldly, "if you won't stop… then I'll have no choice but to kill you."

"Haha!" Obito burst into mad laughter. "You should've done that a long time ago."

Clutching his wound, he murmured, "Just make sure… you kill me the same way you killed Rin."

Kakashi's face darkened.

"Don't hesitate." Minato placed a hand on Kakashi's shoulder. "This Obito… is no longer the one we knew."

Kakashi's expression twisted slightly.

Sensei… do you really have the right to say that?

You think I didn't notice? You had the power to stop Obito just now, but your hesitation gave him an opening.

And yet here you are, lecturing me with all the solemnity in the world…

"Hah!"

Suddenly, Obito let out a thunderous roar.

The Ten Tails began to tremble.

His entire body started to ripple, like liquid, flowing toward Obito.

"What's happening?!" Minato and the others cried out in shock.

Tobirama narrowed his eyes, muttering, "This looks… no, it resembles... but no, it shouldn't be possible!"

"A sealing technique?!" Yako finally exclaimed after watching for a while. "Is he trying to seal the Ten Tails inside himself? Like a Jinchūriki?"

Everyone fell silent.

Because… it really did look that way.

In the midst of battle, Hashirama and Madara suddenly stopped fighting.

Madara turned his head toward the Ten Tails, murmuring, "So it's come to this… That brat really is different."

He lowered his arms and sat down lazily on the ground, watching intently.

Hashirama gave him a wary look. "Madara, what are you planning?"

"There's no need to do anything," Madara replied coolly. "Let's see what that kid's trying to achieve—how far he can actually go."

Hashirama turned to look as well. Moments later, his eyes widened. "A Jinchūriki? That kid… he's trying to become the Ten Tails' Jinchūriki?!"

"And why not?" Madara smirked faintly. "They say the Sage of Six Paths was the Ten Tails' first Jinchūriki. Now we get to witness it again. Isn't that something?"

"Hmph." Hashirama snorted, his eyes locked on Obito, who was on the verge of completing the transformation.

He was ready to intervene.

Right now, he was still Konoha's strongest fighter.

That Uchiha kid, Funan, had vanished—no one knew where he'd gone.

"Aaargh!!!"

Finally, after absorbing the Ten Tails completely, Obito let out a deafening roar.

Vast power surged wildly through his body.

Even more chakra spilled out—utterly out of control.

Though the Divine Tree lacked the original essence of the Tailed Beasts, it had absorbed a massive amount of chakra.

This overwhelming force was trying to dominate Obito from within.

If all he had done was seal the Ten Tails, it wouldn't have been that difficult.

But Obito had chosen to use the Ten Tails' power.

"The Ten Tails' Jinchūriki?" Madara, still seated, sneered. "If the Ten Tails were that easy to control, I wouldn't have spent so many years planning this."

Hashirama remained silent.

"Hashirama, did you know? Back during our final battle, the one who lost… was you."

Madara fixed him with a penetrating gaze. "I only played dead because I had other plans."

Hashirama couldn't hold back anymore. "Madara, I know you're angry. But Uchiha Funan is your junior. Why can't you believe in him? He has the potential to transform the shinobi world so that everyone can live in peace."

Madara let out a cold laugh. "And if he doesn't? According to you, I'm supposed to believe in Uchiha Funan, follow his lead, abandon the plan I've spent decades preparing, and hope the world magically becomes peaceful. And then what?"

"And then?" Hashirama echoed.

"Exactly," Madara snapped. "You tell me, how long would your so-called peace actually last?"

"Ten years? Twenty? As long as humans have desires, war is inevitable."

"Doubt."

"Suspicion."

"Envy."

"Hatred."

"As long as those emotions exist, war is only a matter of time. When that happens… who's going to stop it? Do you really believe another Uchiha Funan will just appear?"
