Tall, wide and fancy schmancy… Exactly what you'd expect to see in a freshly erect construction. Especially in a corporate building.
Here I stand facing the main doors of Genotex US, clutching my handbag in both hands and taking the deepest of breaths before stepping through the portal to hell.
Thankfully, my car only stopped twice on the way here and nobody attacked me so I consider myself lucky already.
"Having second thoughts?"
A somewhat familiar voice reaches my ears. Upon turning around, my eyes land on Adra as she, too, approaches the doors.
"Can't afford those," I mutter.
In response, this bitch actually chuckles before speaking, "No, of course you can't," malice seeps through her smile, "You've glared at it enough. Let's head inside now," she ushers towards the door.
How lovely of her to remind me that I had no choice but to come work here? Isn't she just the sweetest?
