Oh the Uchiha clan massacre? It happened 3 years ago just a few months after Sasuke entered the Academy.
The boy became the god of emo! What an achievement!
Also, the butterfly started to flap it's wings as I had an encounter with Hyuga Hinata. It was not my intention or was it within my control.
But I'm glad it did happen.
Flash back
I remember it was snowing and I was just finished my exclusive training in the forest. When I was on my way home when I saw Hinata about to bump into a group of kids.
It was not until I called out the kids that I remembered this scene.
Hinata stopped in her tracks and was seen by the kids who first looked at me then at Hinata.
As soon as they saw her eyes they started calling her a monster and ugly along those lines.
Seeing this I tried to look around if Naruto would show up but was disappointed to see not even a silhouette of him.
With no choice I immediately ran up to them before the stone they just picked up is thrown towards Hinata.
I spread my arms and let the stones hit me. No point in fighting ants really. Although I might have regretted not deflecting the stones as I felt blood ran through my face when my head was hit.
The kids stopped as they saw my blood and ran away.
I turned around and looked at Hinata who was closing her eyes expecting to be hurt from the stones thrown at her.
Then she opened her eyes in surprise probably because she didn't feel any pain. Then she saw my feet, slowly she looked up and saw my face and the blood.
"A- are y-you o-okay?" She's cute alright.
"I'm okay. But are you okay?" She didn't answer but kept her head down.
"Can I look at your eyes, I can't help but notice how beautiful they are." This seemed to surprise her a bit as she looked at me in confusion.
"B-but they said it's ugly and they called me a monster." She seemed to choke up in her words as I could feel her hurt.
Emotional damage are pretty painful than physical. According to Gaara's uncle, physical wounds heal but a wound of a heart is different, there are times when they never heal.
I patted her head as she seemed to begin sobbing.
So I lifted her chin and made her look at me as I look at her eyes.
"Don't believe what other people say about you or your eyes, because for me, they are more beautiful than the moon. So cheer up, Okay?" I don't if it was enough cause I'm not really an expert in this.
The patting of her head is simply what I have learned from comforting my very own sister.
She seemed to be stuck after that though. What's going on?
Some time later, Hyuga Ninja's came and saw us together. They seem to not pay me any attention at all and simply took Hinata away.
I thought that was the end but one them was actually behind me, although I have already felt his presence, I still pretended to be surprised.
That seemed to satisfy him as he smirked and ask.
"Kid, tell me what did you do to Lady Hinata? Depending on your answer, you might need to come with me." His pressure came bearing down on me.
Fucking shithead, I'm still an academy student! How do you expect me to answer you if your not letting me!!
I didn't say anything, it would be easy to answer but I didn't bother if he doesn't change his tone.
"I am not fooling around kid. Lady Hinata has been missing for some time and I need to know what exactly happened while you were with him." He asked again increasing his pressure on me.
Fucking retard!
Luckily another voice rang.
"And how do you suppose the boy will answer if you keep on pressuring him like that?" This surprised the man as he immediately ran and bowed to the person.
After the pressure was gone, I turned and saw Hinata again accompanied by another man with the same eyes wearing white kimono with dark green haori on top.
"C-clan head! I apologize. I simply wanted to know what happened from the kid."
"Like I said, how will the boy answer if you were to pressure him like that?" As soon as he finished speaking, an even greater momentum descended but it didn't seem to affect me?
The man earlier is probably receiving the full brunt if his shaking legs are any indication.
"F-father." I heard Hinata speak.
"He is the one who saved me." She said while pointing her index finger at me. That seemed to stop Hiashi as the man before him sighed in relief.
Hiashi turned to me and ask.
"What is your name boy?"
"Yoga Osamu.." I introduced myself while folding my hands in front of me. My expression is that of an annoyed person.
"Forgive the Hyuga clan for the inappropriate behavior for saving the heir of the clan. As an explanation, this man before you will be stripped of his duties as guard for failing it. And as compensation, you can request anything the clan can provide you."
Woah, what a generous offer.
"I accept your apology. I will leave it to the Hyuga clan on how they discipline their people as it is not within my rights. For compensation, I don't know if I will be selfish or reasonable but hear me out first."
"Let us hear it then." Hiashi confirmed.
'this kid is a bit mature for his age and knows how to handle himself.' Hiashi thought.
"Then, I request for a sealing knowledge or scrolls that I can study if you have some that you can share, and special papers and ink used for the sealing arts." I smiled while requesting it. You asked so don't you dare back down now.
"Hooh, are you perhaps an academy student?"
"Yes! I am on my fourth year and I was taking the sealing arts class." Although I am still practicing it, I hardly have any practice since I don't have my own materials for it. The academy provides the materials but it is only enough for practice in the academy and not outside or at my own house.
But it didn't stop from practicing even if I had to use normal materials since I quit it
"Was?"
"Yes, I quit since I already know what they teach. I can simply practice them on my own to reach certain proficiency in it."
"And how will you determine that?"
"Just now, with your help in providing me the materials I lack of course." I smirked at him which seemed to satisfy him.
"Very well. You will have all of those delivered to your house tomorrow. And for saving the heir of the clan. We will make it so you continue receiving the materials for sealing ninjutsu until you graduate. Will that be okay?"
"That's totally cool with me! Actually that's too much even, do you perhaps require me to do something?" Hiashi nods his head.
"If you could look after Hinata while in the academy, the clan would appreciate you."
"I guess that's only fair. Then I accept the duty to look after Hinata while attending the academy!"
"Well then, take care young man." Hiashi turned around along with the rest while Hinata simply bowed her head and went away with her father.
That was not my last interaction with them.
I watched over Hinata from time to time but I really didn't have to do much since Neiji was there. I can't even get close to her since Neiji would always look at me.
Hiashi told me not to mind him much since Neiji belongs to the branch family and was tasked to guard Hinata.
Neiji himself didn't bother talking to me unlike Hinata who despite her shyness, was able to talk to me normally.
She sees Naruto too, there was no nervous breakdown or passing out that happened to her.
And so, the butterfly definitely flapped it's wings.
Flash back end
I passed the written exam with flying colors and passed the practical exam where we were task to perform all 3 basic ninjutsu.
Unluckily for the clanless students, they all failed. I was the only clanless student who passed the graduation exam which surprised some of the teachers.
Then the next day we were introduced to our Jonin instructors...
For my team mates, surprisingly one comes from the Nara Clan while the other came from the Aburame clan.
Nara Shintaro and Aburame shota.
There were no members coming from the Yamanaka and Akimichi for Shintaro to pair with so he became our teammate instead.
As for our Jonin sensei?
It was Hatake fucking Kakashi of the darn Sharingan!
