"What is going on?! Did the intel that we received was wrong all along?!" the Pope was angry as he cast a protective spell to block the incoming cannonballs temporarily. It isn't a surefire defense to keep but it will do for the time being and recover from the attack.
Selena angrily barked a command to the soldiers. "Load up the cannons and have the magicians fire back! Take advantage of the shield that the Pope casted and counterattack!"
The soldiers quickly followed through the command and started firing back against the soldiers of Darcero Kingdom.
"Pope, what is going on? I thought this is a surefire way to catch them off guard? We got caught off guard instead! We can't rely on your shield and the ship's defenses to last through the barrage the enemy is firing!"
