Chapter 20 - THE INVASION OF QUWAHAR

Harun stood next to his father almost ready to take him on, but before they could get to it, suddenly a big rock covered in fire came flying from the sky and crashed right between them. Harun jumped back to get out from the blast's radius. Harun frowned and quickly looked at the sky, hundreds of fireballs were crashing down around the palace. But none of them seemed to have touched any house, because just before they could touch and destroy anything a force-field started covering the whole House of Inventum. "It's no ordinary attack, it is howl to the war." King Zoraiz said as he stood there with his hands pointing at the sky.

"These fireballs are certainly thrown from afar because these aren't that strong." He looked at Butler who had rushed out to see what was going on. "Get everyone inside," then he looked at Harun. "Harun, go lead the House Guards out from the walls and meet the attackers outside from the wall. We can't let this place become a battlefield."

Harun without saying a word started running and used his knives and chains to jump over the palace's wall, just the same way he came in. The second he touched the ground, he sensed something, fear and terror. Everyone seemed to be running wild. Harun knew instantly what to do, he climbed onto a house's roof and shouted. "Calm down," Harun took his hood off, the second people took a glimpse of Harun they stopped moving. "It's Master Harun!" A man from the crowd shouted.

"You need not worry. I will protect you. You just be calm and get in your houses, where it's safe."

Harun's words put their worries to rest. 'Now, I should go out and see who is attacking us head-on. Most of the Prodigy Knights are out on war on the battlefield.' Harun thought to himself, 'My whole squad is out there as well, so I can't rely on backup. I'll have to stop them on my own,' as he started jumping from one house to another, "Guards no matter what happens don't open the gate." He shouted as he created a few spears and started throwing them in a pattern on the gate.

He jumped on the lowest spear and used others as stepping stones to reach the top of the gate. "I knew it couldn't be just a few people," He laid eyes on the mountain ahead, which was covered with people wearing black colored full face masks with a strange symbol painted in red on those masks.

"Tsk. Troupes of Star Kingdom and Rebel's Army? Why the hell are they attacking us together?" Harun said to himself, "I was expecting an attack from Rebels Army but, we have been on good terms with Star Kingdom for a while now but what does this sudden betrayal mean?"

There are many nations and kingdoms around in Prodigy Realm, but the main and strongest Kingdoms are The Star Kingdom, The Moon Kingdom, The Sun Kingdom, and The Sea Kingdom. And these four Kingdoms inhabit 40 percent of the Prodigy realm while the Quwahar Kingdom inhabits 50 percent of the realm alone and has the strongest Prodigy Users. All Kingdoms except the Star Kingdom joined forces and started a war against Quwahar that has been ongoing for over a century now.

But, now The Star Kingdom has joined the war and not just joined the war but they came right for Noble Houses along with the rebels and traitors of Quwahar.

"Master, they are being led--" A guard was about to say something. But, Harun cut him off, "Yeah, I know him, he is from Elemental Rangers, said to be equal of a Prodigy Knight Master. Most of the army belongs to Star Kingdom, only a handful belong to Rebel's army including the man leading them." As he jumped off from the gate. "Equal to a Prodigy Knight Master, they say? Let's test that theory."

In House Elysium, Anika was seated on the chair in the morgue, when a man came rushing through the door

"Miss Anika, there is an army of Star Kingdom troupes marching towards House of Elysium."

Anika rushed out from her chair and ran outside swiftly the second those words hit her ears.

Amir was still lying on his bed badly hurt but better than last time, "An attack on the House of Elysium, that's not possible—if they have attacked on House of Elysium that means---" Amir frowned and rushed out from his bed. "They must have attacked other Houses too."

Anika stood in fear as she laid eyes on the army of hundreds of Prodigy Users marching towards them. "This is maddening, we are not a fighting guild, and there isn't much I alone will be able to do."

The Star Kingdom had attacked three main Houses at a time, with thousands of troupes and a few hundred troupes from Quwahar's traitors. But Quwahar had not hoped for this in the least, only a handful of Prodigy Knights were present in the Kingdom at the moment. But, in war, you must see when your enemy is at his weakest and then strike with full force. And they didn't even expect their trusted allies to suddenly attack them. Ihaan and Harun stood in front of two armies and were ready to demonstrate their power, even though they were alone but Anika was just a healer, she was terrified because there were thousands of patients in the infirmary and she had to evacuate them and fight off an army of troupes at the same. How will they fare in this unexpected attack? Will new legends be made or they will be forgotten from the pages of history?

Will this be the end or a new beginning for Shayan and others? A new era is at hand, no matter how this war unfolds. It will take a toll on both sides, no matter who wins or loses. Thus, 'the Invasion of Quwahar' arc begins…

e that, I should've healed him and yadda yadda yadda. Just go away. I don't have time for that." Masir sat next to Ariel. "Your body is healing even slower than Amir's. I thought you would be special or something but, you are just like a normal Aurian. But I heard you tried to fight back, even though you were pretty much useless." Ariel pulled his body up. "What are you getting at?"

Masir looked at Amir. "He is an honorable warrior. He was born into a noble family. He must fight to protect this kingdom. But, you have nothing to do. You are a man with no ambition, just existing and doing what you are told. You can't become a Prodigy Knight or more like you shouldn't. That's what I am here to tell you. Just quit it and start going back to your world with new memories or just live with common people."

"I do follow, and I don't think there is anything wrong with following. I have found something I wanna do." Ariel said in a high-pitched voice. "I will become a Prodigy Knight and destroy this kingdom."

Masir frowned with anger. "What are you talking about?" He asked with anger. Ariel looked into his eyes. "You people are sick, just like humans. You look down on others. Those who were born in less fortunate families suffer while you people live in big houses. You hate one of your own, and won't even heal him, even if he is dying. But who did he fight for? Why did he keep standing up to protect this kingdom? To protect people like her," As he pointed his finger toward Anika. "Rules, laws, and orders are all you care about. What about what's right or wrong? I was happy at first to know that I would be living in a world that is different from mine, but I guess inequality is even worse in this world than mine. We will crush your society, your kingdom, and you, so we can build something better. Now, I understand why he wants to become Prodigy King. It's because he has enough power and authority to destroy and recreate this Kingdom--"

"Shut your mouth kid, before I kill you." Masir's eyes filled with wrath, "You don't know the first thing about this great Kingdom, you just came here. You dare, compare our great Kingdom with Human's society."

Masir said with a cold and solid tone, Anika stepped up. "You pointed at me like I'm the bad person here. We punish those who have anything to do with humans, he isn't an Aurian and he isn't a human as well. A half-breed like him has no place in our Kingdom or even in Prodigy Realm. Why do you think they attacked? It was because of you or him because both of you are misfits in there." Ariel jumped off from his bed, "You people are sick and racist. Half-breed, humans, I don't care. I am going back to Prodigy Academy." He walked past Anika and Masir. Amir didn't join up in the conversation but, he looked angry, not at Ariel but at himself.

"Oh, you know the way there?" A man entered through the door. "Master Ihaan," Ariel mumbled. Ihaan looked at Ariel. "Your wounds aren't healed and you can't feel pain in those cuts and bruises but you will die from blood loss. And your hand seems to be broken as well."

Ihaan said, as he grabbed Ariel from his arm and threw him back in the water bubble, "You need to stay there for at least 2 days. Broken bones take more time than you think. When you are healed you can go back to Academy."

Ariel coughed blood. "What the hell was that?" Ihaan turned back, "Kid, he is fine. He is healing as well, you will meet him soon. He is a persistent boy, no way he is going down that easily."

Relief fell over Ariel, he spitted blood out and a few of his teeth. "I know," He smiled back at Ihaan.

Masir stood up and grabbed Ihaan from his shoulder, "I need to talk to you." He said as they both vanished in front of Ariel's eyes.

"What were you trying to do there?" Masir asked as they stood in the middle of nowhere. It looked like a desert. "What are you implying?" Ihaan smiled. Masir clicked his tongue, "Why are you letting him get near that half-breed? And because of you now he has a bad image set of our Kingdom."

"This Kingdom is no sunshine and rainbows, what did he say that upset you? He didn't say a word, wrong. I am amazed by how good he is at looking through stuff. In Quwahar, inequality is so far spread that this time only one or two commoners could pass the first test and get into the Prodigy Knight training section. Just because they weren't provided good resources," Ihaan voiced his thoughts, which made Masir even angrier. "You always take the side of humans and commoners, is it because you are a commoner yourself?" Ihaan smiled at that compliment. "Well, Masir the day I was born the scale of power was destroyed and when I joined as a Prodigy Knight, I became the strongest in a few days. I climbed up the ranks like no one else, and I am a commoner. So, yes I defend them because I know what it is like to be on the other side of that Lava lake, the border that is set between Nobles and commoners." Ihaan answered.

Masir looked away, Ihaan continued. "You lost your family and your House, that's the pain those commoners live through every day. They live there and wait for those Hybrid monsters to attack and eat their family members, while we sit here fighting each other. They don't care about anything, they want a place where their kids can grow and live happily."

Masir snapped his fingers twice, "Yeah, like I care." As he walked through the portal, leaving Ihaan alone in the desert;

Ihaan looked back, far away a lake seemed to be flowing, it was no normal lake. The lake had lava flowing in it. "The day we destroy that border, the hell will break loose. But, I am sure one day someone will do it, and I will be waiting for that day to come."

Ihaan started walking on the opposite side in which the lake was flowing. Suddenly, he heard a loud thud, like a bomb had gone off. He looked to his right, thousands of people were marching toward him. Half of them were flying on carpets, some of them were running and there was only one who was leading them. Their faces were covered with strange masks. One of them was riding on an eagle. It seemed like that eagle was made up of lightning. He had no mask on, unlike others.

"Oh, they are coming to attack Quwahar," Ihaan's smile widened. "I was feeling tired and bored. I am so up for a bloodbath."

The mysterious army was approaching with thousands of troupes, and the other hand, Ihaan stood alone in that desert. Ready to obliterate anything and everyone. He stood there like a hungry wolf, ready to tear his prey apart with his fangs and claws.
