Chapter 313 - Chapter 313: Naruto, Didn’t You Want to Be Happy? Then Go All the Way!

"Tch, so it's just training combat skills and awareness against different people. What's so special about that?

Special training? Please, it's just two prisoners. They're a bit fierce, sure, but still…"

As soon as the fight began, Naruto couldn't help but complain. He felt that Sasuke's so-called special training was nothing special at all.

It was just using two ruthless criminals as training dummies.

Were these prisoners really more experienced than their school teachers?

So Naruto kept complaining.

But as he went on, his words slowly came to a stop.

Because he realized that these prisoners weren't just fierce—they were out for blood.

Their attacks weren't like in training, where the blows stopped just before landing.

Every move was meant to kill. They were actually trying to take Sasuke's life.

Kakashi had already guessed what would happen next, but for Naruto, the impact was overwhelming.

Both prisoners ended up dead. Sasuke was badly injured. And he had killed someone.

This was supposed to be training?

This was just straight-up killing!

Just moments ago, Naruto hadn't thought much of it. But now, his head was buzzing.

He couldn't imagine how Sasuke had managed to fight against two brutal criminals in such a desperate situation and still come out alive.

When Sasuke sacrificed an arm just to kill one of them, Naruto was completely shaken.

"This is murder! Why does the village allow this to happen?"

After a long silence, Naruto suddenly jumped up, pointing at the screen and shouting.

Kakashi, standing to the side, calmly replied:

"Being a ninja means accepting this reality. A ninja's growth is never smooth; it comes with blood and the bodies of their enemies."

"The ones who died were all serious criminals that the village needed to deal with."

"But... still... it just doesn't feel right."

Naruto raised his hands to his head, feeling conflicted and torn inside.

"This is something Sasuke has to go through. He'll gain valuable experience from it. Compared to you all, he's just facing the enemies of a ninja's world earlier than most."

"Now tell me, do you still want the same special training as Sasuke?"

Naruto didn't respond. It was as if he hadn't even heard Kakashi. He just stood there in silence, staring blankly at the paused screen, motionless like a wooden statue.

Seeing this, Kakashi stayed quiet as well, standing beside him.

After a long while, Naruto still hadn't snapped out of it. Kakashi figured he should take him to the Hokage's office.

If this left a deep psychological scar, it could be a big problem.

Kakashi quickly turned off the monitor, grabbed Naruto, and headed straight to the Hokage's office.

"What's wrong with him? Did he get scared stiff?"

After bringing Naruto into the office, Yan took a look at him. Sensing his unstable emotions, he couldn't help but chuckle.

"So, the kid who wants to be Hokage has such a weak mind?"

"You should stop obsessing over Sasuke and go back to your studies.

"A ninja who knows nothing is an embarrassment."

"Unfortunately for you, Naruto, you're terrible at everything."

"That's not true! I'm not scared at all!"

After being insulted from start to finish, Naruto's anger flared up.

He clenched his fists, baring his teeth at Yan, looking like a furious little beast.

"Not scared? Then what's with that face?"

"What do you think a ninja does?"

"Sasuke just executed two prisoners and got a little injured in battle, and that was enough to shake you?"

Yan leaned back in his chair, resting his feet on the desk, and waved him off with a look of disdain.

"Just go home and rest. Maybe being a ninja isn't for you."

"Honestly, aside from being a troublemaker, you're completely useless in my eyes. You have no redeeming qualities."

Was that too harsh?

Kakashi's expression turned serious. He wanted to speak up for Naruto, but he couldn't bring himself to say anything. This wasn't the right moment to argue.

If he did, he wasn't sure what would happen to Naruto, but he knew he'd be the first to suffer for it.

"Aside from causing trouble, I'm completely useless?"

Yan's words hit Naruto like a heavy hammer straight to the heart. His mind went blank, and he stood there, stunned, in Yan's office.

"A ninja's life is filled with blood, schemes, and darkness. That's just part of growing as a ninja. This job isn't as honorable or great as you think it is."

"Kakashi, take him home."

"Tell his teachers that from now on, they don't need to bother with Naruto anymore."

"It doesn't matter what he does. His grades don't matter either, even if he fails every subject."

"Just let him coast through school for the next two years and graduate with the rest of his class. That's enough."

"This is exactly the kind of outcome the Third Hokage would be happy to see."

You like messing around, don't you?

Fine, go ahead and play all you want.

You love causing trouble, right?

Well, from now on, no one's going to stop you.

Do whatever you want, however you want. After all, your dad was the Fourth Hokage, and you're the Nine-Tails' Jinchuriki. No one would dare do anything to you.

Go ahead, act up all you want.

Again and again, Yan had tried to guide and teach this troublesome kid, but he was tired of it.

If nothing ever changes, then fine—let him enjoy his "happy education." There were plenty of people in the village who wanted him to stay carefree forever.

If you can't master ninjutsu, it's because the Nine-Tails' chakra messes with you. That's understandable.

Being playful and mischievous is normal for kids. But there's a limit.

Before, you caused trouble because you were desperate for attention and love. But Jiraiya came back and gave you all of that.

So what about your growth?

After all these years, you still open a book and find tons of words you don't even recognize.

Is that a talent issue, or do you just not take learning seriously?

You keep running to the Hokage's office to make a scene—what, do you think the Hokage's office belongs to you?

Your dad was the Hokage. He made huge sacrifices for the village. But does that mean no one else did?

You're the Jinchuriki. You have a special status. So you think that gives you the right to do whatever you want?

"Take him away."

Yan shot Kakashi a look, signaling him to remove Naruto.

"Understood."

Kakashi sighed, picked up the stunned Naruto, and quickly left.

He could tell—Yan's patience had just about run out.

After Kakashi was gone, Tsunade and Shizune walked into the office.

Tsunade hesitated before speaking. "Won't this hurt the kid's confidence?"

"That's Jiraiya's problem. Send word to him—tell him to stop tracking the Akatsuki and gathering intel. He needs to return to the village as soon as possible and keep an eye on Naruto. That brat is getting out of control."

Yan rubbed his temples, clearly frustrated.

"I really think his problem is just his attitude toward learning."
