There were still pedestrians browsing the night market on the main street, and vehicles too; they were momentarily startled upon seeing two buses scurrying away like lost dogs.
"What is that?" A couple, full of curiosity, watched the dark Buddha statue sprint away.
The Buddha statue turned its head, its gaze landing on them; "sizzle," a golden light fired, blowing the man's head straight off, and the woman splattered with blood let out a piercing scream.
It wasn't until a sedan was penetrated by the golden light spike and crashed, twisted and askew, into a tree on the roadside that the pedestrians started to panic, dodging and making phone calls to the police and fire department.
"No, we have to kill it!" Watching the Buddha statue attack indiscriminately, having already killed at least ten pedestrians, Tang Zheng could no longer wait.
