"Is your stomach pain severe?" Madam Moreland's voice revealed her nervousness and unease.
Despite being the mother of four children, the sight of Amelia Clarke's astonishingly large belly still made her voice tremble with anxiety.
"It's not particularly severe," Amelia Clarke said truthfully.
"No matter what, you should hurry to the hospital now," Old Madame Sheldon urged.
Owen Moreland drove Amelia Clarke, while Dorothy Brown took the three elders.
The hospital already had everything arranged. As soon as Amelia Clarke arrived, someone immediately took her to undergo prenatal and pre-surgical checks.
Dr. Will and Dr. White, who had been in charge of Amelia Clarke's checkups, were there. Amelia's cervix had dilated one centimeter; to have a natural childbirth, she would still need to wait a while, possibly not being able to deliver tonight. If she chose a cesarean section, the surgery could happen immediately.
