"You've worked hard."
After giving the scene a cursory glance, Flossie Wright dragged the large tree to the entrance of the cave.
She had been too lazy to carry the pile of wood inside earlier and had planned to drag it in all at once. However, in just a short while, Perry Reed had taken care of it all.
As for the large tree she had dragged back last, naturally, it was placed outside to shield from the wind and rain.
They needed to stay another night.
Keeping the heat inside the cave while allowing some air circulation and blocking the exterior wind and rain, the fallen dead tree she had brought was most suitable for the task.
"Light two more fires."
Perry Reed continued to split wood and spoke to Flossie Wright in a calm voice.
Flossie stepped inside.
"Oh."
Looking around, she responded affirmatively and then began to make a fire.
The wood she had brought back was more than enough.
