The entire villa was deathly silent. Butler Jin and Belinda Swan stood there, holding their breath, their eyes wide with shock.
Someone slap me. Did I actually hear that? This is too bizarre. I'm definitely going to have nightmares tonight, the kind that last until dawn.
"Uncle Peary, stop teasing."
Nia Mitchell's face fell. Was this the Maxwell Peary she knew?
"I'm just playing along with you; you should give me some kind of reward, right?"
Maxwell Peary was like a child asking for candy, looking as if he'd throw a tantrum if she didn't give him a reward.
"Sure, but you're not back yet. How can you get the reward if you're not here?"
Nia Mitchell raised an eyebrow, a smug look on her face, completely ignoring the two other people standing in the villa.
Bunny, is it really okay for you to flaunt your affection like this?
Maxwell Peary curled his lips into a smirk. Oh, Bunny is complaining that I'm not home again.
