The dragon's hot and heavy breath touched Soobin's face, making him feel a bit too warm. As he was unharmed, he slowly opened his eyes and noticed the dragon was only glaring at him, panting and groaning. Its eyes filled with fear and tears. Soobin slowly extended his hand, placing it on the dragon's cheek. As soon as his hand touched the blue shiny scales, he remembered. He remembered everything about this dragon. Didn't they meet a long time ago? Yes, it's him! Soobin gasped. He slowly bent up.
"Are you hurt?" He caressed the dragon's chin. In reply, it groaned in a low, soft voice.
"Let me help you." Soobin sat up, stroking the dragon's face with his gentle touch. Meanwhile, the dragon was surprised. Why? Why is he doing this? Isn't he scared? This boy… is still the same. He thought and couldn't help but drop his tears.
"Aren't you afraid?" he asked with his deep, rough voice.
"Why should I be? You're not gonna hurt me, do you?" Soobin slided backwards and then stood up, leaving the dragon stunned with his words.
How is he so certain? But, he almost hurt him a while ago. Then, why does this boy trust him so much? Yeonjun wondered.
"Is this what you use to stitch your wound?" Soobin went to the small table, full of first aid and utensils.
"These won't be necessary now that I'm here." Soobin added, grinning while closing his eyes. His sweet, beautiful smile made him look like an angel. The dragon kept staring at him. But, what did he mean? Why wouldn't those things be necessary?
Soobin took the small knife from the table. Then he went to the dragon. He noticed the giant body had so many wounds on it. His heart ached. He took the knife in front of his hand and then…
"Uhh!" The dragon heard the sound. It was Soobin, groaning out of pain. The dragon looked back, his eyes widened in shock. He saw Soobin slit his wrist and blood gushed out from it. The drop of his blood fell on his back. And the wounds of him started healing slowly. So… he remembered! But, why was he doing all of this? Why hurt himself? The dragon's heart sank.
Soobin healed each and every injury of the dragon. He reached his paw and placed it on his lap, pressing his arm for more blood. The dragon then slowly turned into his human form again.
"Ah! Is it too painful?" Soobin asked, his smile still hadn't vanished.
"Isn't it for you?" Yeonjun's voice cracked. A lump formed in his throat as he was going to ask more. But, nothing came out of his mouth. He started weeping like a child.
As Yeonjun held Soobin's hand and took a look at it, Soobin helped him wipe his tears. "If my pain can heal others, then it's fine for me." Soobin grinned again. Yeonjun touched his arm, locking his gaze with Soobin. "Why… are you so nice?" He said with a hoarse voice.
"Lemme treat you first." Soobin took over his palm, then put his blooded wrist over it. As no blood came out again, he tried to squeeze harder, but Yeonjun grabbed his wrist.
"Please don't! I'll be fine. Don't hurt yourself more just for a stranger." he shoved his arm aside. While looking the other way, he mumbled, "If you keep acting like this, then… then…" he paused, sniffling like a little puppy.
"Then, what?" Soobin asked, laughing a tiny bit.
"Then, I might cage you here forever." Yeonjun stared at him confidently.
"Pfft! As you wish!" Soobin suddenly burst out laughing. Seeing his gorgeous smile, it got hard for Yeonjun to hold back. He really wanted to kiss those lips of his again.
"What's there to laugh at?" Yeonjun acted mad while pouting.
"Nothing!" Soobin shook his head then, putting his smile again, he added, "I'm hungry. Can you bring me some food?"
"Oh! Sure! What would you like?" Yeonjun wiped his cheek and stood up.
"Anything. But, can't you show me around? I think this place is nothing less than a maze." Soobin looked around and said with a perplexed expression.
"Because, this is really a maze." Yeonjun replied, grabbing his t- shirt and putting it on.
"Huh?" Soobin looked back at him, puzzled.
"This is a place I created. With my magic. From the outside, it's a castle. But from inside, it's a whole city which nobody can enter without me. Nobody can exit without my help either." Yeonjun said, a smirk was visible on his face.
"Then… are you really gonna cage me here, forever?" Soobin asked, his expression serious, eyes widened with shock and curiosity.
"Having someone here with me feels really good. Especially when it's someone like you." Yeonjun chuckled, going towards Soobin.
"But, I can't stay here with you for eternity." Soobin smiled softly although he was afraid this guy in front of him could do something like that.
"I'll make you stay." Yeonjun muttered under his breath, gazing at Soobin as his eyes sparkled.
"Did you say something?" Soobin turned to Yeonjun and asked.
"No! I was just joking. After our plan succeeds, you're free to go." He tried to touch Soobin, but something kept him from doing that.
"Then, it means… I'd never be able to come here again?" Soobin's voice was melancholic, he looked at Yeonjun with hurtful eyes.
"Do you want to come here again? Even though I kidnapped you, and caged you here?" Yeonjun was taken aback. He never expected the question. While walking, both of them reached the garden full of flowers and greenery.
"Who said you locked me up? I'm free to go anywhere, right?" Soobin spreaded his arms in the air as if trying to hug the beautiful nature. Seeing him, Yeonjun's heart started beating fast. His face blushed as he thought of doing some naughty things to that pretty boy.
"Let's race." Saying that Soobin started running before Yeonjun could process anything. But, right after he started running, Yeonjun followed him.
As Yeonjun didn't want to lose, he turned into his dragon form and passed Soobin.
"Hey! That's cheating!" Soobin shouted, but wasn't angry. He smiled brightly and chased after Yeonjun.
Yeonjun reduced his speed, laughing and only then Soobin caught up with him. He held Yeonjun's tail and yanked closer.
"D-don't pull it!" The dragon form acted a bit strangely and when Soobin noticed it, he let go of his tail. Yeonjun came back to his human form. But, his face was fully red. He didn't have any clothes on his upper body because of the transformation. He breathed heavily, averting Soobin's gaze.
"What happened?" Soobin asked. He went closer to Yeonjun and discovered that he still had scales on his neck. They were light blue, just like the dragon had. Soobin couldn't help himself but to touch them.
As soon as Soobin touched the scales, Yeonjun started growling in a low voice. He glared at Soobin with his red, ferocious eyes. Then he pushed Soobin which made him fall on the land full of grasses.
Soobin groaned out, squeezing his eyes shut. Meanwhile, Yeonjun jumped over him which made Soobin terrified. The scales on his back became clearer as he breathed heavily while climbing on top of Soobin.
"W-wait!" Soobin tried to push him away, but failed. And before he could understand the situation, Yeonjun kissed Soobin's lips.
*Ummh*
When he tried to push Yeonjun away, Yeonjun pressed his lips harder, slipping his tongue into Soobin's mouth. He slipped his hand under Soobin's clothes, stroking his bare skin. As he continued, it became hard for Soobin to breathe. He started trembling as his body became weak. Tears burst out from his eyes. Only then, Yeonjun noticed it and pulled himself back to catch his breath. He looked at Soobin and saw the helpless boy huffing, struggling for breathing.
"I-I… I'm sorry." Yeonjun knelt down, head bowed with regret. The scales on his neck started fading with his heavy breath.
"But, you shouldn't have touched them." Saying that Yeonjun bolted out of there.
Meanwhile Soobin stayed laying on the grass, still breathing heavily, trying to understand what just happened.

While roaming around, Soobin reached a big hall full of bookshelves. Though it looked quite ancient, he was curious what types of books they were. He wandered around the shelves and his eyes stuck on a certain book. It was thicker than the other ones. He pulled it out from the shelf and tried to read it. But, the language wasn't familiar to him. He still flipped the pages and got intrigued as there were so many pictures as well as letters. It seemed like the pictures were to describe whatever was written in the book.
While flipping, Soobin got to know about the dragons. And the most shocking news he discovered was— that day when he touched the scales of Yeonjun's neck, he got aroused.
And he thinks that… Soobin was… his mate?!
