Turning his head, Qin Jiu saw that Mountain Bandit B had already fired a signal flare to call for reinforcements. Knowing he'd be in deep trouble if he didn't run, he ignored the nosebleed, gritted his teeth, and crawled up, stumbling and crashing as he fled into the forest, making his way back to the healing pool Master Yuan had prepared for him.
And so, this marked Qin Jiu's first real battle experience.
Here's the thing: yesterday, Master Yuan had disappeared without warning, probably to let him complete the test on his own, so Qin Jiu had carefully planned everything out.
He attempted to locate the mountain bandits' lair but found their defenses were extremely tight. One moment of carelessness could land him in their traps, not to mention the irregular patrols. There was no way to sneak in or get close.
