Dominic Vanderbilt gripped the cane tightly, his eyes filled with sheer shock.
"You..."
"What I spoke about marriage tonight wasn't just to shut Naomi Rein up."
Arabella Vanderbilt spoke calmly, a faint smile beginning to appear on her beautiful face.
Through the dim light, Dominic clearly saw the expression on her face.
"Have you decided on him?"
"Yes. In this world, there is no one better than him."
Dominic pressed his lips together and nodded, yet he still seemed somewhat uneasy, "Be more careful in judging people this time, keep a closer eye. There aren't many good men in the world."
There was a hint of a smile in Arabella's eyes, "Hmm, he's warned me of the same."
Surprise flitted across Dominic's face.
Although he too was a man, having lived through many years and seen through many things, no one knew better than him.
He admitted he wasn't a good man, so self-deprecatingly reminding Arabella, he felt nothing wrong with it.
