Anna Ainsworth changed in her clothes upstairs, then applied a simple light makeup herself before stepping down in a pair of low-heeled soft leather shoes.
However, just as she descended the last step, she caught sight of Jeanette Warren sitting on the sofa, and her face immediately darkened; she hadn't expected Jeanette to come looking for her today.
Compared to Anna's calm face, Jeanette's expression was much more enthusiastic. Seeing Anna come downstairs, she immediately stood up and walked over, calling out with some excitement, "Anna, you're down. Be careful when you walk, pregnant..."
"Do you need something?" Anna interrupted Jeanette sharply, her face visibly cold.
Jeanette was slightly taken aback, then hurriedly smiled, "Well, aren't you marrying Jeremy? I thought I'd come over and ask, when is your wedding going to be? I want to make sure I'm available."
