Jaylene Ziel paused, then gave Connor Osborne a meaningful glance before turning to Joseph Thompson beside her. "Joseph, let's go. We won't keep young Mr. Osborne any longer."
Joseph Thompson caught on, nodded at Connor Osborne, and said, "Then we'll head upstairs first, Connor. You're busy."
After the words were spoken, he led Jaylene inside and then followed the waiter leading them to the private suite upstairs.
"Why did you stop talking halfway through?" Joseph Thompson asked Jaylene, only after the waiter had left the room.
"A woman would rather give up thirty percent of the stocks than go back to that man. It doesn't say whether the man is good or bad, but at least it shows that the marriage had nothing left for her, right?" Jaylene replied indifferently.
"......" Joseph Thompson was speechless. Okay, he admittedly hadn't thought of that at the time.
