Rachel's POV
The wine turned out nice, making us drink a few more bottles than we had initially planned. My tiredness disappeared after and was replaced with humor and excitement as we exchanged jokes and laughter at our table.
Our behavior earned us disapproving glances from the many stuck up people in our midst, however we paid them no heed and continued to drink and make more silly toasts.
"Home sweet home," I exhaled in joy and relief the instant I shuffled into our living room, Lorenzo following behind.
"Fuck, it's almost midnight," Lorenzo pronounced as he spotted the clock in the living room.
"Guess we returned home before the bell," I chuckled at my silly attempt at quoting Cinderella.
"I guess we did," he played along and came to place his hands on my shoulders. "Let's get you on the couch."
"Want to ravage me already?" I smirked as my body dropped unceremoniously into the plush cushion and faced him.
