Having grown accustomed to Jane Sampson's prim and proper way of eating her meals, James Black was still startled by her current appearance.
"How does it taste?" Although he already knew the answer from the expression on Jane's face as she ate, James still liked to ask.
"Delicious," Jane nodded repeatedly, "You're really amazing, finding a place like this."
"Not amazing, how would I be your man?" James chuckled, the tone of his voice seemingly quite proud.
If he hadn't brought her to a place that suited her taste, dragging a lazy girl like her out for such a long time on the road, Jane probably would have rolled her eyes at him again.
Jane was indeed starving just now, so she ate quickly.
And the result of eating quickly was feeling full quickly.
When James finished speaking, she let out an inelegant burp and then, after thinking for a moment, asked the question on her mind, "Does bringing me here to eat have any necessary connection to you being my husband?"
