As the figure drew closer to the ground, Yi Lin finally discerned its posture.
Crimson skin covered its entire body, flowing like flames, yet resembling blood.
On its skin, intricate patterns were etched, densely packed like the totems of some ancient race.
But the most terrifying part was the face.
A face resembling that of a human, yet devoid of a mouth, ears, or nose. The entire surface of the face was covered in eyes.
Each crimson eyeball on that grotesque visage spun in different directions.
Hiss!
Yi Lin merely glanced at it, and one of those eyes turned to meet his gaze.
Just one glance,
Only one fleeting moment,
And Yi Lin felt as though something had ripped through him.
Pain!
His head, his nose, his mouth, his limbs, his heart—every part of his body was assaulted by an inexplicable, eerie pain.
