I sighed as I looked down and saw Orlin arguing with the kitsune man below instead of fighting them. It sounded like they were arguing about Rose and Cyra and who was better and who was worse.
Saffron opened his eyes. I had brought him back into my barrier after saving him.
"Thanks, Major," he mumbled.
I smiled and knelt down to hand him my kids.
He blinked.
"You like making yourself useful, right? Then care of my rugrats while you recover, Cap."
He grumbled as he stared down at my kids. Naotaro giggled as he looked up at him.
Saffron glanced at the sky and frowned. "Why haven't the others returned?"
I crossed my arms and sighed. "Getting rid of that much cursed energy isn't easy. Even sending it flying into the sky isn't a guarantee that it won't rain down on the land. Since Bylet was behind it, I wouldn't put it past him if he came up with a fail safe should we send it barreling into space.
