...…..
After the announcement ended, William's body suddenly jerked and his mind forcefully woke up.
'What? Where is this?'
Disoriented, William slowly gathered his bearings. The last thing he remembered was drifting to sleep on his bed, yet now, he found himself in a place wholly unfamiliar.
The salty scent of the sea clung to the air, mixing with the faint creak of wood. As his vision adjusted, he realized he was not in his bedroom at all, but rather inside a cramped cabin.
The walls were wooden, polished yet aged, with brass fittings glinting in the sunlight that streamed through a small porthole.
Slowly, he sat up, his body swaying slightly. It was subtle, but he could feel it. The unmistakable, gentle rise and fall of the floor beneath him.
'A ship?' He thought, his mind racing, 'I'm at sea?'
The realization struck him. He took a deep breath, calming his racing thoughts. There didn't appear to be any immediate danger, but caution was still necessary and He needed more information.
"The announcement…"
Was it real? Had he actually been transported somewhere, just like in the novels he had read?
William was an avid reader, having devoured hundreds, if not thousands, of books across every genre imaginable. Now, faced with an unfamiliar yet strangely familiar situation, he couldn't help but compare it to the countless stories he had immersed himself in.
'Is this what it feels like when the protagonist is suddenly summoned?'
No warnings. No explanations. Just waking up in an unknown world with no idea what comes next.
At first, dread and confusion gripped him. The uncertainty gnawed at his thoughts like a storm looming on the horizon. But as the initial shock faded, something else began to rise within him…
Excitement.
A thrill unlike anything he had ever felt before coursed through his veins. Who wouldn't dream of gaining power, of welding flames or summoning lightning like the heroes in anime?
It sounded impossible. Pure fantasy.
But now…
Now, it was real.
"Hahaha…"
William couldn't help but laugh, a mix of exhilaration and disbelief bubbling up inside him.
His entire worldview had just been shattered and rebuilt in an instant.
The absurdity of it all, the sudden transition, the strange announcement, was something straight out of the novels he had spent years reading.
Taking a deep breath, he turned his attention back to the announcement. At first, he had thought he was hallucinating, but now, with a clearer mind, he examined it properly.
The message was simple, but its implications were massive.
[Welcoming all players] this means he isn't the only one in this situation.
'Global Transmigration, huh…' He thought.
The next lines were straightforward, [Survive, become a legend or passing ghost.]
The final phrase, 'The sea has unlimited possibilities', hinted at exploration as the core of this world.
The announcement panel itself was small, but then he noticed something, there were more panels hidden behind it.
Panels like chat, trade and news. These panels also have more sections like global chat, private chat, invite, add friend and the like.
Curious, he opened the World Chat, only to be met with utter chaos.
"Why the hell am I in the middle of the goddamn ocean?!"
"Mother please help your son!"
"Who kidnapped me? Do you know who I Am?!"
"Somebody please tell me what is going on?"
"I was in a five-star hotel before, and now I'm in a wooden cabin?! What kind of scam is this?!"
"Are aliens real guys?"
"Am I still dreaming?"
"Son above, your mother already sold your soul to an evil god!"
….
William sighed and closed the chat. The opening of Global Transmigration has always been like this. Pure chaos and nonsense. Most of the people were still panicking, which was to be expected.
Given enough time, more rational people will start appearing, but William doesn't want to wait. He is too excited to wait for such thing.
Next, he checked the Trader Channel, but it was grayed out, locked for now. However, the News Channel was available, so he opened it with small expectation.

"Woah…" William said in amazement.
The sheer amount of information was overwhelming. It took him a moment to process everything, but one thing was clear, this world was vast, and it wasn't just a game.
Still, ten thousand people is too small of an amount if he compares it to most global novels he read. The minimum is one hundred thousand people. But now, ten thousand people is not even a drop in the ocean.
Noticing this, William read the news again the second time.
'Small region of Mystic Sea? I see.'
But how small is this 'small' area? William doesn't know.
Shaking his head, he focused on the biggest revelation, the system recognized unique identities, ships, and pets. That meant some people would have advantages from the start.
He hoped he was one of them. After all, who would refuse a head start in a mysterious new world?
William then pondered for a moment, thinking how can he check this, later starting speaking into the air with a hint of doubt.
"Status?"
Whooss
'I was right!' He thought with shining eyes.
[Status]
[Name: William Deathwill (Unique Identity)]
[Rank: Captain / Extraordinary Level 1]
[Ship: Ordinary Fishing Boat]
[Pet: Open Inventory]
[Personal Skill: Delivering…]
[Identity Exclusive Skill: Extraordinary Senses, Hunter, I'Am Here.]
> Extraordinary Senses: You Can Sense Things Beyond Normal.
> Hunter: When Fighting Against Beast, Monster or Supernatural Entity, You Can Receive Information Bonus And Small Overall Enhancement.
> I'Am Here: By Saying 'I'm Here' In Front of Your Enemy(ies), You Will Fall Into The State of Challenger.
> Challenger: In This State, The Enemy Will More Likely Focused on You, And You Will Receive Random Enhancement You Needed Depending On The Situation.
Hmm…
His status seemed… Pretty good?
Almost certainly thanks to his Unique Identity, his skills weren't just strong, they also complemented each other well.
This isn't just a simple power-up; if used correctly, it's more like multiplying effects rather than adding them.
Not to mention, he will also receive another personal skill later on. Believing his luck so far, his personal skill should not be that bad right?
Now…
While he didn't fully understand what Captain or Extraordinary Level 1 meant, he had a good guess. Probably a ranking system for individual power levels.
And he will probably see more things with this level from now on, as this level should be a starting journey or a newbie for short. The System wouldn't make him invincible from the start.
This was William's guess, he should not be too strong at this point, but he definitely can hold his ground.
The ship is not worth mentioned.
Then for his stat.
[Stats]
[Physique: 2 (Stronger than normal)] (Peak Physique for normal human without stepping to Extraordinary is 1)
[Spirit: 5 (Able to see and interact with ghost; passive danger sense)]
[Mystic: 3 (Came from extinct bloodline family with long history)]
[Remark: You can feel spiritual power bubbling inside your body. Maybe trying to control it will give you an unexpected surprise?]
Physique was self-explanatory, it measured physical strength, endurance, and speed, probably all of them combined. He is just not sure about the specific point, which is higher which is lower.
Spirit was likely tied to mental power, perception, and supernatural awareness. Things like intuition, six senses, and possibly even precognition.
'So… I can see ghosts now? How should I test this?'
He exhaled slowly. The thought was unsettling as he was coming from a world without supernatural things like that. And suddenly being able to see and interact with it is chilling.
Then there was Mystic, even with many novels he read, he doesn't have a clue about this.
'Is it bloodline power? But the remark said it was something that came from it, and more likely not the bloodline itself.'
He thought about the name Mystic Sea. Could there be a connection? But Without more information, he could only set it aside for later.
As for the spiritual power the remark said, let just say that he can feel it, but controlling it seems very difficult and it is better to adapt with the physical changes first before trying some more wacky things.
Now, it came to inventory.
From what he read in the news panels, and his status, William should have a pet in his inventory. While it was unfortunate not receiving a unique ship, Unique identity and a pet is already more than he can have.
So… He said calmly.
"Inventory."
With another whoos, several rows of blue panels neatly arranged, appear in front of him. Counting the panel, there are about twenty five slots, but only one is filled right now.
[Item Information
Name: Unknown Beast Egg
Type: ??, System Pet Exclusive
Hatchling Time: 7 Days (Complete System quest to hatch the egg.)
Remark:
Blue oceanid egg with rough pattern full of vitality. If you hold your ear close to the egg you can hear a faint heartbeat from it.
The quality of the beast inside is unknown, where this egg came from is also unknown.
> Note:
After the Egg Successfully hatched, The System will help you complete the contract.
There is a chance of upgrading the quality of pet from quest.
]
'Is this about luck again? Or will there be something like point ranking later on?'
He thought a little and came to a conclusion.
'Probably a combination of those two.'
Luck will define the base quality, then the point system will upgrade it, making it stronger and better.
Or maybe there will be something like an upgrade coupon?
He shook his head again. There is too little information, no matter how much he tries to read the future, the endless possibilities won't give him a clue at all.
So then, what he does is checking himself.
William Deathwill.
Same name with different surname. He tried to remember his old surname, but no matter how he thought, the only answer was blank. He doesn't remember. He only knows Deathwill is not his old surname at all.
This was probably the effect of transmigration and he tried to not think about it much.
Next, he came in front of the mirror beside the bed. Tried to compare his old self with this new body.
The difference is… small to say.
He is a little bit taller and his body seems more compact, but that was it. His blue eyes and black hair, and the other physical trait was the same with his old body, only seemed to be a better version.
Now he is not sure if he has a new body or something.
But William also doesn't care about it much, not like it was a debuff, it was more like enhancement to his body.
The System is almighty, it can do anything it wants.
And he, as a player, only needs to play by its rules.
Done checking his body, he then held onto a dual sword on his waist.
[ Item Information
Name: Common Dual Sword
Rank: Common
Ability: None
Remark:
A common set of dual blades you could buy from any dockside vendor.
Can probably chop twenty fish before breaking.
]
Reading the information, he smiled a little.
The System know to joke.
Strapping the blades back into place, he turned toward the cabin door. His focus was already shifting to the outside.
