Luna did not lose her composure in front of Vale Dilian, nor did she panic. She maintained a neutral expression on her face.
"Well, I did not expect that a man in top 10 of the academy entrance test would be so weak," Luna stated. She added further, "I was just trying to pry for his strength by sending a casual pillar."
The entire audience was rendered speechless. What did she mean by "weak" and "pry for strength"? That move of hers could have killed the boy in seconds. No, "killing" was too mild a word. That pillar would have turned the boy into ashes.
On the other hand, a lot of people also thought she might have a point. As a commoner, she might not have met many strong individuals and might not have any real grasp of her own power, and perhaps considered this as a normal occurrence.
Vale Dilian, behind his stoic facade, was also left speechless. He wanted to berate and scold Luna further but found himself at a loss for words.
The Dilian family was a high-grade family, and Vale harboured a deep disdain for commoners, especially talented ones.
His contempt stemmed from the belief that a prestigious institution like Star Sky Academy, and especially its top 10, should belong to the heirs of prominent families. Commoners had no place among them, and the presence of four commoners in the top 10 had only intensified his disgust.
He was about to respond when he heard Luna's voice, "But I think the instructor must have a different measuring scale."
She pointed towards Tim and continued, "When he almost killed his opponent in the battle royale, and even in this round, the instructor did not react. But now the instructor thinks that I am heavy-handed."
Her voice dripped with sarcasm as she concluded, "I think we have a specific term for such behaviour. Hypocrisy. Yes, this is the correct word."
Every single soul in the arena was stunned into silence. The little girl had just now berated an instructor. She had called an instructor a hypocrite in front of the whole world.
Rexon and Lily were also left stunned. This cute-looking, slow-speaking girl was incredibly bold. Meanwhile, Amden wore a subtle smile on his face.
In the past month, he had not only trained them rigorously in battles but had also tried to temper their temperaments.
After all, they needed to shed the mentality that had developed in their previous phase of life. As a result, the pair of siblings had undergone tremendous changes. For the most part, Lucas had remained humble, but Luna had become extremely prideful.
Vale was seething with anger. A little brat without any background was talking back to him. She was insulting him. He, as a member of the esteemed Dilian family, had rarely faced such insolence.
Vale roared in fury, "You... How dare you talk to me? Go to hell!"
An oppressive spiritual energy of the fire element erupted from his body, and he flashed towards Luna.
Luna was horrified. She had dared to talk back because she believed that Vale wouldn't dare to do anything publicly. But how wrong she had been?
Lucas, who had been watching everything from below the stage was also horrified. He wanted to move to counter Vale but could not even react to his speed.
In a moment, Vale was before Luna. He raised his palm and was about to smash it onto Luna when a chilly breeze blew by.
Under the incredulous gaze of the audience, starting from the centre of the stage, the entire arena began to freeze.
In a flash of light, a slender figure stood between Luna and Vale. It was Lily.
Her entire body was emitting peak SS aura. With the new scripture Amden had provided, she had broken through to SS Rank.
Although Vale was too at SS Rank, his entire momentum had been crushed in that moment.
It did not need a genius to figure out that, he was no match for Lily. His eyes were filled with terror and fright. Fear was the only thing he could feel at that moment. His entire instinct screamed to run away from her.
Vale, in a quick motion, jumped backwards to flee. He waved his hand, and using his space element, a space portal opened.
Even before the portal could completely open, the edges of the portal were frozen solid preventing it from expanding further.
Lily's eyes were bloodshot with anger. For her, Luna was like a cute little daughter. Her entire body was trembling with rage.
She moved a step forward, and the next moment, she disappeared.
When she reappeared, she was in front of Vale. She was holding swords made of crystalline white ice in both her hands and before Vale could react, she stabbed both the swords as they pierced Vale's shoulders.
Not a single drop of blood flowed from the wound as the blood and bones and other internal part of his shoulder were frozen in an instant.
Vale, meanwhile, screamed his lungs out as pain coursed through his entire body.
Lily was in no mood to spare his life. Her anger was beyond bounds at the moment.
She let go of the swords as they remained fixed inside Vale's shoulder and then raised her palm and slammed it onto Vale's chest.
With her palm as the centre, Vale's entire chest was frozen and he was sent flying like a ragdoll as he smashed against the wall of the spectators' stand. The wall cracked on impact, and Vale coughed up a mouthful of blood and few chunks of his internal organs.
Lily reached near Vale in a moment, picked him up, and threw him like a rag back onto the stage.
She reappeared back on the stage next to Vale and smashed her foot onto Vale's face.
His face was smashed into the arena floor and buried in it. And then came another smash, followed by another. Vale's entire face swelled, and every time a smash landed on his face, he would shriek like a madman.
While all this was happening on the stage, the audience watched in stunned silence.
Meanwhile, people belonging to the upper and powerful echelons had concern etched on their faces. First Clara breaking into SSS Rank, and now Lily breaking into SS Rank. The Vantistart family had suddenly started to become extremely powerful.
At this moment they hoped that this incident should cause a fracture between Star Sky Academy and Vantistart family.
