Before long, Brynn Williams had fallen asleep.
Her face was pale, her breath shallow, and she looked peaceful, even serene, in her sleep.
Watching her for a while, Kobi Taylor felt an inexplicable sadness. He turned and left the ward and saw Bella Scott standing outside the door.
"She's asleep, you guys should leave and not disturb her rest," he ordered them away.
"We're going to leave in a bit; we just want to go in and have a look. We won't bother her," Bella Scott replied dismissively.
Kobi Taylor's tone was ridiculous, as if Brynn Williams was his property. In fact, they all knew the sad relationship that kept Brynn Williams in Kobi Taylor's home.
To put it bluntly, Brynn Williams was nothing more than a pet that Kobi Taylor raised.
"I said she's not seeing anyone!" Kobi Taylor repeated impatiently.
