Two conditions, speed and profit.
If the pursuit of speed is devoid of profit, it's not at all making money. Similarly, time is money, and if you blindly chase profit without regard for speed, a project can drag on to an indefinite future, and in that time, just the changes in monetary policy can devour any profit you initially budgeted, leaving nothing behind.
A smart businessperson knows that you cannot have the best of both worlds; hence, if one must be sacrificed, which should it be, the former or the latter?
