In a galaxy where every crime committed from "Meaningless Pickpocketing" to Political Assassination is considered an act of Piracy, there is a group dedicated to upholding Galactic Law. These individuals are known as Pirate Hunters. They live, train, receive their missions, and turn in Captured Pirates at the Hunter's Base on the Planet Al'Harri. A select few individuals among the Galactic Races serve as Pirate Hunters from the common Humans to the bestial Anilli, and floral Lussarri. Each race in the Galactic Alliance has one of their own, representing them on the Galactic Council. However, a Draken Dragon Ship attacked a Galactic Outpost shortly after the coronation of the new Drake King. This incident destroyed the trust that the Drakes worked so hard to build within the Galactic Alliance as well as their position on the Galactic Council. Since then most everyone saw the drakes as monsters and wanted nothing to do with them, forcing them to leave the Alliance. They were alone, and no longer had the protection of the Pirate Hunters, forcing them to fend for themselves. Both the Avarians and Lussari believed that pushing the Drakes out of the Alliance was a big mistake that would come back to haunt them. The rest of the Galactic Council believed that such an extreme was necessary for the safety of the Alliance.
Many years passed and the Draken pirates continued to be a constant threat that few hunters could handle on their own. Many hunters died facing off with this band of pirates, and even more came back with severe injuries after fighting them. It seemed like no one would be able to even make a dent in their numbers. To top it off, those who survived say that they seem to be looking for something, and some even speculate that what they're after is the ancient legendary Sunsoul. A weapon of immeasurable power that has the potential to wipe out systems with ease. However, since it seemed like no one could stop them, morale began to fall within the Galactic Alliance. Then a report came in about an object that looked to be a glowing Sunstone Orb that was discovered by Tomas and Katie Katt in one of the Colonies. Shortly after they had a child, who they named Tabbitha, but no medical physician was present the moment of her birth. On top of that there were constant Drake sightings, but no one was able to get a good look at it, let alone find its hiding place. However, the colony was attacked a few years later, with the only known survivors being the young Tabbitha Katt, and a diamond scaled drake named Starlight. The Avarian leader took the two into his care and made sure that they were both happy and healthy despite how the Galactic Council felt. The Pirate Hunters loved the two of them, but also made sure that they knew why drakes were seen in a foul light within the Alliance. They both went through hunter training soon after Tabbitha recovered from what happened at the colony. Her training started out a little slow, but after a few years she began to excel, surpassing any expectations the senior hunters had for her. She and her sister were the pride and joy of the Galactic Pirate Hunter's Academy, and even made a few good friends.
