Chapter 51 - Chapter 51

 "Apply it," Liddell said.

Malfoy opened the bottle, and the holy aura unique to unicorns left Liddell with no doubts.

"Lucius is really loyal. These things aren't cheap." Liddell seemed to have thought of something and praised his subordinate.

"Yes, they aren't cheap," Malfoy said. But Liddell didn't notice that there was a trace of black luster in the silver blood.

"The snake's venom isn't cheap." Malfoy's expression was ferocious as he suddenly shouted at Hermione. "Run!" Then, he took out a small knife that he carried with him and began to viciously slash at the diary. In the blink of an eye, the exquisite black diary was riddled with holes and scratches. Unicorn blood mixed with venom permeated into the surroundings, slowly seeping into the cracks.

Everything happened in a flash.

Liddell, who was proudly preparing to restore his perfect body, didn't react at all. Hermione also looked at the scene in shock.

"Damn it, you don't even know how to run for your life." Malfoy felt irritated as he looked at the dazed Hermione.

"You actually betrayed me." Liddell's solid body suddenly twisted. He struggled, his arms flailing as he screamed. He looked at his previously loyal subordinate in disbelief.

"Kill them!" he hissed, unwilling to give the snake monster a final order. Then, after leaving behind this last sentence, he disappeared, like a wisp of smoke drifting away. Lockhart's wand fell to the ground with a thud. No one picked it up.

"Are you stupid?" Malfoy roared at Hermione. "Why aren't you running?"

No one could describe the ups and downs of life clearly. The insufferably arrogant Voldemort had died just like that. Hermione felt like she was dreaming.

"Close your eyes!" Malfoy shouted at Hermione as he saw Slytherin's huge stone face move. Its mouth opened wider and wider until it formed a huge black hole.

Something moved in the statue's mouth. Something came out from the depths of the statue and slithered upwards.

"Find Dumbledore! If we're any later, both of us will die! "

Malfoy quickly closed his eyes. The basilisk was about to come out. Everyone had the misconception that large creatures would not be fast, but in fact, fast creatures could be found everywhere, and the basilisk was one of the best.

The huge basilisk was green all over, and it glowed with the beautiful light unique to venomous snakes. Its body was as thick as the trunk of an oak tree. It stretched its upper body high into the air, and its large flat head randomly moved around the stone pillar, as if it was drunk, wildly waving its body.

Suddenly, there was a burst of explosive sounds coming from above his head. He rolled backwards as if he was blessed with good fortune, avoiding the snake monster's attack.

"What are you waiting for? Do you really want to kill me? "Malfoy's intuition told him that Hermione didn't move at all. She was probably scared silly by this turn of events.

In his right ear he heard another wild hissing sound, and something was hurling the pillar to one side.

"Damn it." He ran towards the sound. The basilisk seemed to know that he was difficult to deal with, so it changed its target. "Why didn't I learn a few words of snake language to appease basilisks?" Malfoy was regretting it now, but now was not the time for regrets.

It wasn't until the Basilisk rushed towards her that Hermione completely recovered. She quickly closed her eyes and prepared to run back, but because of her nervousness, she tripped and fell. She also heard the hissing sound of the Basilisk's tongue.

"He's not one of the Mysterians. That's great." That was her last thought. The basilisk's voice was getting closer and closer. She knew that she might really die this time. She even smelled the stench of the basilisk's mouth, but the expected pain did not come.

"Open your eyes!" She heard Malfoy's words, and somehow she opened her eyes, even though the basilisk was threatening her life at any time.

"Slap!" Malfoy slapped her hard in the face. The burning pain on her face made her more awake. She saw that Malfoy's other hand had been completely pierced by a fang. Bright red blood splattered all over the basilisk's teeth, but the basilisk's mouth was still wide open. It looked like it was being held up by something.

"Next time I'll treat Ollivander to a meal and praise the quality of his wand." Even though the pain was excruciating, Malfoy did not forget to tease himself, trying to make Hermione relax a little.

Hermione saw that the basilisk's bloody mouth was being held up by Malfoy's wand.

"How is it? Does the slap feel good? If not, quickly go and help. " Malfoy tried to make his voice as calm as possible, but the faint tremor in his voice betrayed his current situation. He was in great pain.

"You'll die. It's too late." Hermione was frightened by the scene in front of her. "Don't talk nonsense. Dumbledore will find a way," Malfoy said confidently.

"If you don't leave now, I'll really die." Malfoy made his voice sound weak, even though he was already very weak. He raised his good hand again, as if to slap her again to wake her up.

"Okay, I'll go right away." Hermione's voice was sobbing. She wiped her tears and immediately ran out.

"It's good that you're gone." Looking at Hermione's back, Malfoy let out a long sigh, then took out the third bottle he had brought today. He did not care that he could not keep his balance with one hand, even if he spilled a lot, and dripped the liquid on his injured arm.

"I've really bled a lot today." Malfoy was still in the mood to joke with himself.

Soon, he could no longer laugh.

Because he heard a cracking sound.

"I take back my words of treating you." Malfoy saw that his wand had been completely broken. He could even hear a wail coming from his wand. The Basilisk wriggled its body in a frenzy, trying to attack Malfoy with its tail. Its jaws clamped down even harder.

"Am I really done for?" Malfoy could not help but smile bitterly. He tried his best to dodge the basilisk's tail attack, but the pressure on his hand was getting stronger.
