Inside Tartarus, in the boundless darkness and void, several Titan gods were sealed. They curled their bodies as if in slumber, unconscious growls of anger and twisted expressions revealing their discontent.
Suddenly, a glowing orb appeared, illuminating the darkness and lighting up a nearby Titan god.
Stimulated, the Titan god slowly awakened.
Its body emerged fully in the faint light.
It was magnificent and towering, with a hundred wings and a hundred heads, and countless arms like giant serpents.
Its heads were like lions, leopards, bulls, and wild boars, a gathering of beasts in their entirety. Only one central head was human-shaped, and around each head were countless venomous snakes hissing.
Once, shortly after the Olympian gods defeated the Titans and became rulers of this multiverse.
A newly born Titan god, in a fit of rage, attacked the Olympian heavens, its might shocking the gods. Under Zeus's leadership, the gods combined their strength to seal this terrifying Titan god in Tartarus.
Hundred-headed Titan, monster Typhon!
With a ravenous look on its central human head, Typhon opened its mouth and swallowed the glowing orb.
Simultaneously, its weak aura gradually rose, and the eyes on its many heads glowed with a crimson light.
On the bronze gates, three hundred-handed giants opened their eyes simultaneously, their expressions changing slightly.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Deafening sounds erupted as the dark fog trembled, as if a giant beast behind the doors was furiously striking them. The bronze gates showed various bulging outlines from the impacts.
The hundred-handed giants tried their best to hold the gates, but the bulges became more pronounced, and the strikes more frenzied.
Bang!
A part of the bronze gate shattered.
Countless venomous snakes poured out, landing outside and merging into the fearsome monster Typhon.
The hundred-handed giants were busy suppressing the breach to prevent more Titan gods from escaping. Meanwhile, Typhon broke through space, left the underworld, and roared as it climbed Mount Olympus to seek revenge on the gods.
Hearing the familiar roars and feeling the trembling of Mount Olympus, the gods' expressions changed as they noticed Typhon.
"The hundred-headed giant... How did it escape!"
"Wasn't it sealed in Tartarus?"
"Damn it, this brainless monster is attacking Mount Olympus again!"
The gods were both angry and frightened.
Typhon had once nearly destroyed the Olympian heavens; this beast-like Titan god was extremely dangerous.
At this moment, a grand and indifferent voice, as if born from thunder, rang out.
"Gods, do not panic. I'll be right back."
In an instant, the weather changed, and dark clouds rolled in.
God-King Zeus appeared majestically at the peak of Mount Olympus.
He wore a storm as a cloak and held a lightning spear, looking down at the monster Typhon who once wreaked havoc on Mount Olympus.
"Typhon!"
Seeing his nemesis, all of Typhon's heads roared simultaneously with the sounds of wolves, lions, bulls, snakes, and leopards, creating a cacophony that formed Typhon's name.
Hundreds of mouths opened, spewing lightning, fire, poisonous gas, and ice, the raging winds sweeping towards Zeus.
Zeus raised his lightning spear.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Countless lightning bolts descended from the sky, turning the space into a sea of lightning, clashing with the hundred-headed giant.
"Zeus, I will help you!"
From the distant ocean, waves surged.
The sea god Poseidon's trident, intertwined with blue and gold, broke through the sea, flew across the sky, and shot towards Mount Olympus.
Bang!
One of Typhon's lion heads, spewing fire, was pierced and shattered by the trident.
Poseidon's figure appeared, wielding the trident, riding the spontaneously generated waves, moving between Typhon's hundred heads and hundred arms.
Zeus, unwilling to be outdone, descended from the mountain peak, wrapped in lightning, and together with Poseidon, fought the monster.
The gods came to their senses, leaving the heavens to surround and attack Typhon on Mount Olympus.
Apollo, the god of the sun, Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war, Ares, the god of war, Aphrodite, the goddess of love, Hephaestus, the god of fire, and Hera, the queen of the gods—all twelve Olympian gods joined the battle.
The sky tore apart, and the earth collapsed.
The gods' radiance intertwined with Typhon's aura, ebbing and flowing as time passed.
Typhon was not in its prime, despite its might, it couldn't even match Zeus or Poseidon in single combat. Now, besieged by the gods, it was soon covered in wounds, instinctively trying to escape.
Hundreds of wings of various kinds flapped simultaneously.
A terrifying hurricane arose, disrupting and even tearing the space, making the majestic Mount Olympus tremble.
At this moment, Poseidon shouted, raising his arm, muscles bulging.
Boom!
The trident struck the ground like a lightning bolt.
In an instant, endless seawater erupted from the trident, spreading in all directions, forming pillars and chains of water under Poseidon's will, stabilizing the shaky Mount Olympus.
The space around Typhon was torn apart.
Its hundreds of wings blocked the sky, it was at the center of the terrifying storm, immune to ordinary attacks.
"Typhon is trying to escape, stop it," Zeus said sternly.
He stood again amidst the rolling clouds, his muscular body tensed like a drawn bow. In his right hand, he held a cluster of lightning, forming a spear.
At this moment, Apollo threw the solar disc, a gigantic star-turned-flying wheel, shining brilliantly, hovering above Typhon, enveloping its heads, arms, and wings.
Golden sunlight extended, mending the broken space inch by inch, suppressing the raging winds.
Typhon's escape plan was interrupted.
Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war, clad in silver serpent scale armor and wearing a golden helmet, wielding a shield and spear, exuding extraordinary divine power, suddenly appeared before Typhon's human head. She swept her spear, crushing the attacking venomous snakes, and infused her shield with divine power, enlarging it to strike Typhon's human head.
Boom!
With a sound like a giant bell, all of Typhon's heads roared, its massive body staggering, nearly falling.
Seeing the exceptional performance of the goddess of wisdom and war, Zeus, surrounded by clouds, looked deeply and suddenly threw the lightning spear he had been charging.
The lightning spear disappeared in a flash from Zeus's hand.
"Athena, move aside!"
Zeus's warning came slightly late.
In the next moment, the lightning spear, traveling at unimaginable speed, appeared behind Athena.
However, guided by her strong sense of crisis, Athena had already felt the slight sting of danger from behind. Her battle experience allowed her to react excellently, dodging at the last moment, the spear grazing her skin.
The lightning spear passed by Athena and shot straight at Typhon.
Typhon's human head lifted, its eyes shooting crimson beams, but the spear, charged with immense power, tore through them effortlessly.
Sizzle!
The lightning spear pierced Typhon's head, bursting into countless blinding arcs of electricity, spreading throughout Typhon's massive body, making it sizzle and stiffen, gradually turning black.
As Typhon was subdued by the lightning spear, the gods attacked simultaneously.
Various divine powers struck Typhon's head, arms, and wings, breaking its body into pieces, almost turning it into a pulp.
Even a Titan's body couldn't withstand the combined attack of so many gods.
Typhon was heavily injured and near death.
Zeus then ordered the gods to stop.
Not wanting another outburst from the mother of gods, Zeus decided not to kill Typhon immediately but temporarily suppress it under Mount Olympus, planning to send it back to Tartarus later.
Typhon's birth and first attack on Mount Olympus were due to the mother of gods' displeasure with Zeus sealing her Titan children in Tartarus, leading her to combine with Tartarus, creating Typhon.
This creature, born with hatred for the Olympian gods, instinctively attacked Mount Olympus.
After calming the turmoil.
Zeus looked at the goddess of wisdom and war.
This agile goddess had removed her helmet, her dark eyes shining with wisdom and bravery. Her short shoulder-length hair gleamed like golden threads in the sunlight. Her face, unlike the snow-white beauty of most goddesses, had a healthy wheat color, and while not extraordinarily beautiful, she possessed a special charm that was irresistibly captivating.
On Athena's side armor was a tear.
Through the crack, one could see the scorched marks on her skin. Though her expression remained calm and rational, her slightly furrowed brows indicated the pain of the burn.
The lightning spear was Zeus's most powerful weapon.
Created by the Cyclops, the second-generation Titan blacksmith, along with Poseidon's trident and Hades' invisibility cloak, it had helped them overthrow the second-generation god-king and had grown stronger through faith.
Especially Zeus's lightning spear, which had rendered Typhon powerless with one hit.
Athena, grazed by the spear, had a minor wound.
This wound, imbued with Zeus's lightning power, was hard to heal.
"Athena, how is your injury?"
Zeus asked.
"Father, there's no need to worry, it's just a small wound," Athena replied coolly.
Zeus raised his finger, shooting a milky white arc at Athena's wound, neutralizing the corrosive lightning.
"My child, don't take risks again."
"This time was lucky, but if you hadn't dodged, the lightning spear could have caused unimaginable injury to your divine body, and I would feel deep sorrow and guilt."
Zeus spoke softly.
Athena's expression remained as calm and rational as ever, with a faint smile, she replied gently, "Father, you need not worry. Even if today's events were to repeat a thousand times, I would face them without fear."
Whether intentional or not, Athena's words seemed to imply that Zeus's lightning spear was not a significant threat to her.
"I believe I have the capability to avoid severe injury."
Hearing this, Zeus recalled the prophecy of the wise goddess, growing even more wary of his offspring.
The stronger Athena appeared, the less tolerant Zeus became.
This god-king was extremely narrow-minded, suspicious and wary of any deity that could threaten his position.
Even Poseidon, his current supportive brother, was not fully trusted.
With Zeus's nature, once he firmly established his position as god-king, he would definitely find ways to weaken Poseidon, ensuring he could no longer pose a threat.
As for the older and more mysterious primordial gods, if Zeus had enough confidence and strength, he would also bring them under his rule.
"...You are indeed my daughter, the revered goddess of wisdom and war, and I am proud of you," Zeus said, his smile devoid of warmth as he calmly addressed Athena.
Following this, the gods returned to the Olympian heavens, and at Zeus's command, they gathered in the god-king's palace.
Zeus sat high on his throne, looking down, his gaze sweeping over each deity. He spoke in a deep voice, "Typhon was sealed in Tartarus, weakened without any replenishment. It is impossible for it to break the seal on its own."
Amidst the puzzled gazes of the gods, Poseidon, standing behind Zeus like his right-hand man, echoed, "The god-king is correct."
The attitude of this deity was clear: to respect the god-king.
When did Poseidon become so close to Zeus...? Many gods speculated internally.
Athena's brows furrowed and then relaxed, her gaze flickering between Zeus and Poseidon, deep in thought.
What scheme is Poseidon up to now, gaining Zeus's trust? Athena pondered.
In her wisdom, Athena couldn't discern the truth from so little information.
Here, it must be said that targeting Poseidon first, considering the situation among the Olympian gods, was a good choice by Garon.
Poseidon was known among the Olympian gods for always scheming to seize Zeus's throne, so any unusual actions would be seen as part of his plots.
Hera also looked at her partner with suspicion.
Is the Zeus before me a fake?
How could he reconcile with Poseidon?
Or perhaps Poseidon is the imposter?
