Jason's trip to the past was disrupted by the notification sound from his phone.
It was a message from his mother, asking for his whereabout. He quickly replied her and drove off.
In Annabelle's house, she had just entered to meet her mom serving breakfast.
" Anna, my dear you are back, join us for breakfast " she said with a cheerful smile on her face. "Don't worry mom I'm okay" Anna looked frustrated as she spoke. "Something is wrong with her" Jeffrey said looking at his wife. "She did spend the night at Jason's, I guess he's the cause" Beatrice said sighing. "You know when they were kids, i really thought they were going to end up together" Beatrice added. "I have a feeling it will happen" Jeffrey genuinely felt like that. " I hope so" Beatrice said settling down to have breakfast.
Annabelle hurriedly climbed the stairs to her room.
Jason had forced her to drink the hangover soup he made for her, so she wasn't exactly hungry.
Annabelle couldn't help but recall the past again. She knew she was being unreasonable for treating Jason like that for a mistake he made when they were kids.
The only factor driving her hatred for him is how traumatized she is. Anna has severe insomnia caused by this event. She has nightmares every night about the past event.
A part of her wanted to let go but it was very difficult for her to forgive him and still go through that trauma. Weirdly enough, yesterday she was actually able to sleep.
She laid on her bed thinking until she fell asleep.
Jason drove into his house. He parked the car and got out. He entered the living room and met his parents there. "Good morning mom, dad" he greeted his parents and settled himself into the couch.
"Did you already have breakfast" his mom asked. "I'm okay mom" he answered her.
"what is that on your neck" his dad asked in curiosity. "It looks like a....." Grace paused not being able to complete her sentence. "Hickey" Jason continued her sentence with a smile on his face, shocking his parents. Their ever so celibate son came home with a hickey and he seems to be enjoying it. "Jason I'm not against you being with a woman but keep such things on the low" his father said embarrassed about knowing the status of his son. "Do i know her" the curious Grace couldn't help but ask feeling excited.
"I need to get to the office... It's Annabelle" Jason stood up from the couch with that sentence and practically throwing the last part to his mother. Jason left his complex feeling parents and ascended to his room.
Grace and Mark stared at each other feeling confused. They each had the same thought. How did Annabelle give Jason a hickey when she couldn't even stand being in the same room with him.
Jason laid on his bed with a bittersweet smile on his face. Replaying how he got that hickey made him sad and happy at the same time. He was happy Annabelle was the culprit but also sad at how he got it.
Yesterday, after hanging up her mother's call, he entered into his room and found her restless in the bed. "Annabelle, Anna" he tried calling out to her but he got no response. Jason climbed unto the bed, immediately he saw her expression he knew she was having a nightmare.
"Please don't hurt me" she mumbled in her sleep. Jason was well aware of her trauma, he felt really bad for being the cause of her pain. Jason held her, secured in his embrace.
Initially she resisted and bit him on his neck.
Jason felt the sharp pain on his neck but he let her be. Annabelle had her teeth on his neck until she relaxed in his embrace and let go of his skin in between her teeth.
Jason released a sigh. He stood up from the bed and headed to bathroom.
