Chapter 326 - Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails (Part 2)

Chapter 326: Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails (Part 2)**

"Uncle won't fail."

Sasuke's cold voice suddenly sounded behind Naruto and Konan.

He stepped past them, his scarlet Sharingan activated, staring intently at Dan standing atop the Gedo Statue, not wanting to miss a single second of what was about to happen.

"Who knows." Konan smiled noncommittally and said no more.

Under everyone's watchful eyes.

Swoosh.

Dan activated his Rinnegan and sat cross-legged atop the statue. A vast amount of chakra surged from his body, establishing some sort of connection with the statue below him.

Thus, the Gedo Statue also sat cross-legged like Dan, making a gesture of holding its hands together and praying to the sky.

Its nine eyes were all open, swirling around and scanning the surroundings.

Everyone caught in its gaze shuddered, feeling a chill down their spine, paralysed with fear.

"Only someone like Uchiha Dan can tame such a monster. Hopefully, he doesn't mess up this time, or we're in big trouble."

Tsunade muttered, her expression serious. Even she, who usually liked to oppose Dan, was worried about him this time.

The good news was.

During the fusion process, despite the significant size difference between Dan and the Gedo Statue, their chakra was evenly matched, with Dan even gaining the upper hand at one point.

Buzz, buzz, buzz.

A white light rose, enveloping Dan and the statue, making the underground palace as bright as day and forcing everyone to cover their eyes.

It was a while before anyone knew how long it lasted.

Rumble.

The ground beneath them suddenly shook violently, and the walls around them began to crumble.

"This isn't good, the place is collapsing, get out!"

At Fugaku's warning, everyone snapped back to reality and rushed towards the exit, heading for the surface.

They escaped.

Just as they reached the surface, the ground beneath them shook even more violently, cracks spreading everywhere and large areas collapsing.

"Spread out!"

Fugaku shouted again, and everyone scattered in all directions like birds and beasts.

"What's going on, did the Sixth Hokage fail?"

Karin looked terrified, glancing back to see a massive hole in the ground with a diameter of hundreds of meters, bottomless like a prehistoric beast's mouth.

The next second.

Boom!

A huge red beam of light, dozens of meters thick, shot up from the ground and reached a thousand meters into the sky.

The thick clouds above were pierced by the beam, turning the entire Konoha blood red.

"Oh my god, what's happening?"

"What is that?!"

At this moment, countless Konoha villagers were panicking, the streets filled with chaos, people thinking they were under attack again.

Luckily, the ANBU and police forces quickly moved to maintain order, using village broadcasts to calm the villagers and prevent panic.

Even the Konoha ninjas, upon seeing the massive red beam, felt uneasy and worried.

A minute later.

The beam gradually dissipated, revealing what was hidden within.

"That is..."

Tsunade's pupils shrank in shock as a gigantic creature emerged from the ground.

It was a massive being with ten huge tails and a giant Sharingan on its forehead, still bearing traces of the Gedo Statue.

"Is that... the Ten-Tails? Where is the Hokage?" Shizune asked in horror.

"Oh no, I can't sense the Sixth's chakra. Could it be..." Karin's face turned pale, sensing something very wrong.

At that moment.

Swoosh.

A figure dashed from the crowd, landing in front of the Ten-Tails.

"Dad, what are you doing? Answer me!" Marisa, with her scarlet Sharingan, shouted at the Ten-Tails.

The usually rebellious Marisa was now the most concerned about Dan's safety.

"Marisa, it's dangerous, come back!"

Sasuke's face changed upon seeing his cousin's reckless behaviour.

As soon as he spoke.

"Roar!"

In response to Marisa, the Ten-Tails opened its massive mouth and roared at her.

With a loud sound, a gust of wind, like a level ten hurricane, blew towards her, knocking her off her feet and sending her flying.

Crash, crash, crash.

She smashed through several trees, almost clearing an entire forest, before landing heavily on the ground.

"Marisa!"

Sasuke cried out and rushed over.

"Shizune, Karin, go help her." Tsunade ordered her disciples, then glared sharply at the Ten-Tails.

Doesn't he even recognise his daughter?

"It seems Uchiha Dan has failed. Naruto, we need to get out of here before many people die."

Konan's face was grim as she urged Naruto.

To be honest, she didn't want to see Dan fail, knowing a rampaging Ten-Tails would spell disaster for the entire ninja world.

But now, it was too late to say anything.

"Konan-sensei, are we really going to just leave?" Naruto hesitated.

"Prepare for battle!"

Sensing the dire situation, Fugaku shouted. Itachi, Tetsuo, Chisuke, Kakashi, and the other ANBU all entered combat mode, surrounding the Ten-Tails.

Though reluctant to believe Dan had failed, the priority now was to protect Konoha.

Only Black Zetsu was overjoyed.

It never expected Dan to be swallowed by the Ten-Tails.

Everyone knew being a Jinchuriki was the most dangerous job in the ninja world.

And those qualified to be the Ten-Tails' vessel were extremely rare.

Naruto Uzumaki, Obito, and the revived Madara Uchiha.

These were Black Zetsu's candidates for the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, or rather, its top sacrifices to revive its mother.

But compared to Dan, those candidates were nothing.

Dan's unparalleled physique, immense chakra comparable to the Nine-Tails, and those Rinnegan made him the perfect Jinchuriki.

Therefore.

Black Zetsu never doubted Dan would succeed.

To it, this was a gift from the heavens.

Now, it just had to enter the Ten-Tails, control it to unleash the Infinite Tsukuyomi, and steal the chakra of the entire ninja world to revive Kaguya Otsutsuki.

But as Black Zetsu was about to act, a sudden realisation hit it, breaking out in a cold sweat.

It thought of a possibility.

Could this be... Uchiha Dan's trap?

Was Dan pretending to be swallowed by the Ten-Tails to lure it out and expose its intentions?

"Almost fell for it."

Black Zetsu murmured, quickly calming down, becoming more convinced that the scene before it was Dan's plot.

So.

Its expression changed from joy to worry and urgency, shouting to Fugaku and the others:

"Wait, don't act yet! Trust Dan, he will conquer the Ten-Tails and become the perfect Jinchuriki!"

Its tearful, loyal demeanour made it hard to doubt it was Dan's true offspring.

Black Zetsu was wrong.

I never imagined that the reason Dan made things so complicated was because—

He intended to avoid becoming the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki.

Dan's plan was even crazier...

Normally, the relationship between a Tailed Beast and its Jinchuriki is symbiotic.

The Tailed Beast resides within the Jinchuriki. Their souls can communicate, and the host can use the chakra. They live and die together.

However, Dan had no intention of sharing his body with the Ten-Tails, nor did he want a beast's soul residing in him.

So.

He decided to do something more thorough, to erase the Ten-Tails' consciousness, devour its body and chakra, and make them part of himself.

Previous Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails.

Whether it was the Sage of Six Paths, Obito, or Madara, they could still separate the Ten-Tails from their bodies, returning them to the Gedo Statue and the nine Tailed Beasts.

But if Dan succeeded, this process would no longer be reversible.

Because the Ten-Tails would cease to exist.

He aimed to be not another Sage of Six Paths or Kaguya Otsutsuki but the unique, first Uchiha Dan!

Of course.

Dan's actions would inevitably provoke the Ten-Tails' strong resistance, causing the scene witnessed by the Konoha shinobi.
