Chapter 75 - Three Faction Meeting (3)

"Stella-san..."

"...I know..."

Across the room, stood a young man with black hair and violet eyes.

More than that... he was incredibly powerful, powerful enough to defeat Kokabiel.

'He makes me feel uneasy...'

There was something about him that kept stirring Stella's heart. The feeling only grew more confusing every time she looked at his features.

"As a hybrid of Angel and Devil… I've been fortunate to receive and develop both sides equally."

'Equal, huh...'

It was rare for Stella to meet someone who embraced both their angelic and demonic sides—most people she knew leaned heavily toward one or the other.

'I still don't know why... but ever since Hajime Sitri arrived, I haven't been able to shake this feeling.'

Meanwhile, Rexa and Leon were focused on listening to the ongoing discussion about the peace agreement. Sienna, too, was paying close attention to every word spoken by each faction leader. No one could afford to relax.

'This peace treaty really could change everything…'

If we break it down, the treaty stated :

[All forms of direct or indirect hostility between the three factions are strictly forbidden.]

[Any attack or provocation toward a member of another faction will be treated as a serious offense.]

[Each faction's territory, governing system, and laws will be respected and not interfered with.]

[All factions agree to cooperate in the event of major threats to the world or their existence, such as:

External faction attacks

Dimensional collapse or global crisis]

[Each faction is responsible for controlling extremists within their own group.]

[If they fail to do so, the faction leader will be held accountable.]

[A communication system will be created between factions through ambassadors or envoys. This includes controlled exchange of technology, magic, or knowledge.]

[Hybrid individuals (half-devil, half-angel, or human) must not be discriminated against based on race.]

[Those with potential or unique roles may be trained or protected by any faction, with mutual agreement.]

[Neutral zones like Kuoh Academy will be established for joint operations, research, and monitoring.]

The contents of the treaty aimed to protect the balance between all existing races—and it was something that had to be agreed upon, especially with the world on the brink of chaos.

'I hope... that through this treaty, the path to finding him will finally appear...'

"Michael, Sirzechs, and Serafall… what do you think?"

"...Since the former Devil Kings and God—the ones who were the root of the war—are no longer here, I believe this is the right step," Michael nodded with calm confidence.

"We both agree as well," said Sirzechs. "This is also a good opportunity to nurture the next generation, whose growth has been held back by conflict among races."

All the faction leaders gave their full support to the peace treaty without hesitation.

What interested Kamiya the most was how this treaty could help Issei's development.

'Oh… maybe I can ask for Ascalon to be returned to Issei as a request? no… that might be too much. What should I do to make sure Ascalon gets back to Issei…'

His mind kept spinning with thoughts, so much so that he didn't even realize the meeting was reaching its final topics.

"Then, if all three factions are in agreement... I'd like to hear from the two of you—individuals said to have the power to change the world."

Azazel looked at Issei, who was still unsure of what was happening, while Vali—true to form—didn't take the moment too seriously and just said what was on his mind.

"As long as there are strong opponents to fight, I don't care much about anything else."

"Heh, of course… Even if the world is at peace, there'll still be plenty of strong enemies out there."

"...I hope so."

Without any hint of suspicion, Azazel turned to Issei and asked for his opinion on the peace treaty. But naturally, for someone like Issei, who was still new to all this, he didn't fully grasp the magnitude of what was being discussed.

Still, if it could ease racial tension and prevent further conflict—that was a good thing in itself.

"...I just have one question."

"Ask away. I'll answer as best as I can—within reason."

"...Thank you… Then, with this treaty in place… can you promise that crimes committed by Fallen Angels will stop?"

Azazel went silent.

He didn't know how to respond to the sadness in Issei's eyes.

"I don't mean to accuse your race… I just want you to understand how I feel, as someone whose family member was kidnapped... by a Fallen Angel."

"...I understand..."

Azazel took a deep breath. His eyes no longer held the usual mischievous glint. Now, they reflected the weight of someone who had seen too much.

"Red Dragon Emperor… I know you're not blaming my entire faction. And I respect that."

He stood up from his seat, glancing briefly at Michael, Sirzechs, and Serafall—before returning his gaze to Issei.

"But I won't lie to you either."

The air grew heavier.

"This treaty won't erase the sins of the past. And crimes like what happened to your family… might still happen. Because evil doesn't belong to any one race or faction."

Issei lowered his head slightly. But Azazel continued his tone growing firmer, anchoring everyone in the room.

"But this treaty is a beginning. A foundation. And most importantly, each of us leaders will be held accountable if anyone from our factions breaks this peace."

He pointed to himself with a firm gesture.

"If one more Fallen Angel dares to kidnap a child of mankind… I'll be the first to face them myself."

Michael and Sirzechs nodded quietly. Even Vali, normally indifferent, turned with a more serious expression.

Rexa and Sienna watched Azazel with respect, they knew such words only came from someone ready to shoulder the world.

Azazel took another step toward Issei.

"One thing I can promise you, as leader of the Fallen Angels..."

He gently placed his hand on Issei's shoulder. His voice softened, but a fierce resolve echoed within.

"I'll help you find the truth. Who took Kamiya... and why."

Issei stood in silence. He tried to hold back the storm of emotions rising inside him. His eyes shimmered with tears—but they did not fall.

"Thank you… Azazel-sama."

While everyone remained focused on the discussion, Vali leaned back in his chair and whispered to Rexa beside him

"You heard that? Kamiya Hyoudou..."

"Of course. He's the one I told you about," Rexa replied casually.

"I wonder… If that boy's still alive—and that powerful—maybe he'll be a worthy opponent."

Rexa grinned but said nothing more.

And without them realizing it…

Someone smiled softly in the distance, watching everything.

From beyond the veil—hidden within a thin layer between reality and intent—someone stood silently, observing.

A quiet smile curved on his lips.

"At last... the time to move has come."

With a swift motion, a complex magic circle was completed—one powerful enough to isolate the entire Kuoh Academy.

That smile turned from normal… to dangerous.

"Wait for me there… Alter."
