At this moment, the rocky wall behind Blackbeard had been blasted through by the aftermath of Giga Impact. Through the hole in the rock, one could even see the fierce expression in King's eyes—because a gruesome, gaping wound had appeared in Blackbeard's chest.
The flesh around the wound was charred black, already carbonized under the influence of King's flames. Blackbeard's body couldn't possibly be in a worse state.
His internal organs were severely damaged, and all the blood vessels near the wound had ruptured. Even the most skilled surgeon would feel completely helpless in the face of Blackbeard's condition. Every wound on his body was worthy of being recorded in medical textbooks.
Ordinary people would have died long ago from having such a massive hole punched through their chest—Ace, for example. The temperature of King's blue flames was by no means inferior to Akainu's regular magma. But Blackbeard was exceptionally unique.
His abnormal physique was still sustaining his life. Darkness continued to swirl around his body, trying to preserve its host's life. Even though Blackbeard always seemed to get the short end of the stick whenever he appeared, this was by far his most miserable moment.
"So... painful, you bstard…"
"You should be glad you're a freak. I have countless ways to inflict pain without endangering someone's life—but I don't feel like using them on you. You'd better just obediently die."
As a torture expert, King was highly knowledgeable about human anatomy. He knew exactly how to avoid vital organs; stabbing someone dozens of times without killing them was merely beginner-level for him.
But Blackbeard's vitality was so unbelievably tenacious that King found it outrageous, so he didn't even plan to use those methods.
"You... lunatic…"
Blackbeard raised his arm, trying to grab King. But he couldn't reach him at all. King stood at six meters and thirteen centimeters tall—nearly double the height of Blackbeard, who wasn't even three and a half meters tall.
Although many people in this world had bizarre anatomies, with oddly proportioned limbs—like Jack, whose lower body was rather short—
But that didn't include King. King's physique was relatively well-proportioned, which meant his arm span far exceeded Blackbeard's. Combined with the length of Enma, Blackbeard could only grasp at empty air.
"My dream… how could it end here? You can't kill me! Black Vortex!"
A powerful gravitational pull of darkness suddenly appeared in Blackbeard's hand, as he attempted to draw King towards his hand.
Though the gravity was strong, its duration was brief. Before the ability could take effect, the darkness in Blackbeard's hand had already dissipated.
At this moment, King's blade had already left Blackbeard's body. He didn't pull the blade out but instead slashed downwards diagonally, directly cutting off more than half of Blackbeard's torso.
Then, with a twist of the blade, he slashed upward again, quartering Blackbeard—though not very evenly.
And even like this, Blackbeard's head was still somehow able to let out a scream.
"An astonishing vitality. But no one is unkillable—you're no exception."
Whoosh!
Enma pierced through Blackbeard's forehead. By the time King pulled Enma out and sliced Blackbeard into pieces, Blackbeard's body had already scattered across the ground.
With King's thrust, Blackbeard's brain was pierced again. Armament Haki broke through his skull and churned everything inside into mush, finally silencing him for good.
"Enma, it's your turn now."
A strange, sword hum came from Enma's blade, as if responding to King's command. Dark purple energy burst from Enma's blade, swirling around the dismembered remains of Blackbeard's body.
Everyone nearby felt a chill run through their bodies at the same moment, and several shrill screams echoed in their ears.
"Hell Prison: Imperial Flaming Wings!"
King's flames then transformed into two blue demonic dragons, spewing fire at Blackbeard's scattered remains. As a scorched stench was carried away by the sea breeze, only several charred patches were left on the ground.
Destroy the soul, annihilate the body, erase all traces—King refused to believe that Blackbeard could still survive this.
Hit internally by the combined strike of his Giga Impact and slashes, then dismembered, with his brain pierced until not even a trace remained, and even the so-called soul was devoured after being beheaded by Enma—it could be said he was dead beyond dead.
If even this couldn't kill him, King might as well go summon a god for help, because it would no longer be within the realm of what humans could handle.
Enma's blade still hadn't stopped humming. King could even sense a trace of joy from it—it seemed to have devoured a particularly delicious source of nourishment.
"At last, it's done. But this guy… knew quite a lot."
King turned to look at the remaining members of the Blackbeard Pirates. He hadn't responded to anything Blackbeard had said earlier, but he couldn't deny that Blackbeard did seem to know quite a bit about the Lunarians.
There were quite a few people who knew of the Lunarians—after all, they were a special type of wanted criminal with a massive bounty just for providing intel on them. However, there weren't many who knew that King and Shayna were Lunarians.
Kaido, Arceus, Queen, Zeraora—these are the individuals within the Beasts Pirates who personally knew the siblings' identity. Even Yamato only knew that they belonged to a rare race.
Others may have had their suspicions, but there was never any solid proof. Charlotte Linlin was one such example—she had certain speculations about King and Shayna's identities. However, Charlotte Linlin wouldn't report them to the World Government; in fact, she was more interested in having a Lunarian child of her own.
At least she could be considered semi-ally, so leaving her alone for now wasn't a big deal. But the members of the Blackbeard Pirates were a different matter.
No one knows if Blackbeard had ever told them anything before his death. To play it safe, it was better to just kill them all.
At the same time, the other members of the Blackbeard Pirates had also seen Blackbeard's tragic end—but not a single one of them was sad about it.
"Nyahahaha! Teach's dead! From now on, the Blackbeard Pirates will be renamed the Pizarro Pirates! I'll be your new captain!"
The moment Blackbeard died, Pizarro was ready to take his place as captain—but no one agreed to his proposal.
"Toputoputopu, don't joke around, Pizarro! Who the hell would let a meowing b*stard like you be the captain? Weren't you the one who used to suck up to Teach the most? Betraying him so soon?"
Vasco Shot replied disdainfully to Pizarro's words, though his eyes were constantly scanning the surroundings, already scheming his next move.
"Cut the crap. The Blackbeard Pirates are dissolved now. Where you go next is your own business.
But before that—let's deal with the trouble in front of us first!"
Shiryu barked at them in anger. Though he had once been imprisoned by Magellan, his status and treatment hadn't really changed. He still received newspapers from the outside world every day and stayed informed on the news about the outside world.
Unlike those who hadn't seen the light of day in years, he understood better than anyone just how terrifying the monsters, King and Shayna, really were.
