Leo releases Felix's body as he came to realization that he once again failed, the person he cared most about died once again and he could feel a feeling that he felt a long time ago, a feeling he buried and hoped to forget, but now it had resurfaced as he felt his heart drowning, clenching tightly again. Leo slowly raised to his feet's with tears waving down his face, he tried putting on a smile but his muscles disobeyed his mind's wishes and kept downwards. He could feel all the pain from the past and the present pulling at him, once again someone passed away in his arms and left an incomplete sentence. Even though the place they were in was a war zone and stopping could mean your death, but Emillie understood what Leo might be feeling and so she gave him a few minutes to agonize. Everyone was doing everything within their capabilities to survive the disaster, people were separated from their friends and families and there was a disturbance that was interfering with communication. When the invasion happened the presidential system collapsed with a hour or less, there were fires everywhere and dust that clogged the air, the smell of dust, smoke blood and gases was waving. Buildings were being toppled over and roads being destroyed, if one was to show someone a picture of the beautiful city before the war they would say it was all a lie, there was no way a majestic city of such would look like a lost unforgettable ruin.
"Let's get this war over with", Leo said with an emotionless voice and Emillie only nodded in response. Emillie ran off and then Leo transformed and he was back in the war again, Emillie also transformed and was back in action. While fighting Leo received a message from Jo, because of the disturbance the message kept breaking, but Leo could make sense of what he was saying. Jo's core ability was flight and so he was in the air battling, while engaging with the enemy he saw an enormous ship slowly gliding in the air and smaller ships surrounding it. When Jo tried getting in close the smaller ships would attack him and with that he concluded the ship they're protecting might be the mother ship. Jo thought if they were to damage it in some way the creatures might retreat. It was only a thought that could be considered so he messaged his comrades in hopes they would receive it. The mother ship would descend over Hanstam Emergency Pole, the pole was used to broadcast stage three emergencies and above, but had been only used once. Everyone who received Jo's message and could make sense of it made their way to Hanstam. Leo arrived before the others but not Will as he spotted him from a distance. Jo was still in the sky fighting, while doing his best to study the creatures movement, engaging into battle only when he found it necessary.
Leo and Will were below as they stared at the ship that slowly approached like a dark cloud that casted light from the crumbling city, Leo looked up at the ship as it's darkness followed underneath. Leo had an idea that might work explaining it to Will who voiced his agreement. The plan was to copy Will's ability then insert it into the Emergency Pole that would be used as a director channeling the electricity directing it at the mother ship. But judging the size of the ship and their capabilities it might not work, but it was still worth the try. They both held onto the pole on opposite sides and focusing their ability's to release a high voltage of electricity, a small spaceship flew overhead and they expelled their energy for testing. The energy force caused the spaceship that was shot to stir out of control, whirling in the air before crashing. The plan was a success, but how much energy would they need to take the mother ship down. They couldn't waste time dawdling at the thought so they steadied themselves as the mother ship approached. The gigantic ship was half way over the pole when they released the electrical output that impaled the ship's belly, but that wasn't enough and so they had to push pass their limits. Leo was having a mix of emotions that were swirling about inside, the only thing he wanted was to put an end to everything. They were fighting from before and using their abilities beyond their limits weakened them even more and in response their bodies reverted back to a human state as their core energy had been depleted. Even though they didn't have the armor over their body's they stood their ground and kept pushing themselves never backing away. They wanted to make a difference, they wanted to relinquish the evil so their children's wouldn't have to face the evil. There were those who possessed the core power and they too put a foot up standing their grounds to fight, maybe they were throwing away their lives but to them the giving humanity a fighting chance, lessening the burden for someone else. That's when Leo felt a slight tingle throughout his body, reaching for Will's hand in which Will managed to stretch his hand out and grabbed Leo's hand, with contact they both felt a strange feeling that circulated their bodies and then Leo whispered,
" I hate this world", and as those words escaped Leo's mouth a power beyond recognition was felt, for those who were fighting felt a sensation like no other as they faced the direction, even the creatures that were fighting felt threatened. Holding hands Leo and Will created a type of Electrical barrier that was growing immensely fast, the barrier was covering everything in its path. For those who saw the strange power surging tried to escape it, but not everyone was as lucky as they were caught in the power lining reducing to nothing but dust. The power that they were using was far beyond their capability's and they didn't understand how to wield such power. During the process Will fell over facing the ground and Leo was down on his knees, but he would not give up until everything was erased ceasing to exist. The Electrical ability that was combined created some type of barrier that was swallowing everything it came across, it kept growing at an alarming rate and was so bright as if the sun was descending upon earth. It was no longer a war of humans and aliens, there were only movements of escaping and fear.
Jo was in the sky when he witnessed the power being used as he too tried to escape what might be death. The barrier stretched out ninety miles in radius and within distance stood a half collapsed building that was being used as a safe spot. Oliver was present and noticed the approaching danger, the barrier was already a threat but it was as if lightning was being shot out from it destroying what wasn't in reach. Oliver knew if the barrier kept growing it would affect the safe zone. Moving might be a better option but there were so many people and many of them were unable to move. Oliver didn't want to abundant the helpless so he used his ability to surround the safe zone with his shield, he too had to push pass his limits for the sake of others and himself. He was already in his human form with small bits of his armor that was still fused to his body, covered in blood and bruises. He didn't know who was responsible for such destructive power but he felt it belong to his comrades who were breaking pass their limitations, so he too had to keep up and push pass his limits. He created a barrier around the safe zone that was probably forty meter in radius to withstand the striking electricity.
As the electricity struck powerfully at random it zap against Oliver's barrier seeping in, some of the electricity zapped pass his barrier creating destruction within. Oliver knew he couldn't give up or everyone might die, he coughed up blood screaming out rooting his feet's in the ground and refused to falter. Soon the Electrical barrier exploded as the energy force retracted Oliver fell over onto his face, feeling delighted as he managed to chuckle to himself. Where the barrier once surrounded was now nothing. The only thing that was left standing was the Emergency Pole and the ground where Leo and Will once knelt, Leo's remains still held onto the pole and then it disintegrated to the ground like falling sand piling into ashes. Will was electrocuted to nothingness as the power output was greater than he could manage, but even though he was reaching the end he felt his state at utter ease, now all his debts were cleared and he didn't owe the world anything, it was their turn to be in debt. The mother ship was greatly damaged slowly shifting in altitude, while the smaller ships rushed back to it.
Everything that was enveloped by the electrical barrier was now lost, if one was to look from the sky below the only thing they would see is a black hole. Oliver's barrier that he used to shield the safe zone was also destroyed during the explosion, but most of everyone within remained safe. Oliver did everything in his power and beyond his power to protect the people, even though no one would know that he passed at doing something and his parents would never know that he did something and they might would have been proud. But he didn't mind, he knew that he did something beyond passing in school and he was very proud of himself and was sure his teammates were too. For the first time Oliver was completely satisfied with himself and those were his final thoughts before passing away, now he was a lifeless body covered in bruises and blood. Most people would fear death but Oliver was happy, he had friends, did great things before his death and most of all he had a family.
The remaining creatures on the ground floor started fleeing tailing the mother ship, everyone watched the skies as they felt slightly relieved that their greatest storm was reaching its end. Uncountable lives were lost and the human race suffered a great defeat, even though the creatures were fleeing it felt like they lost instead of winning, the could not call the outcome victorious. Going back to how things were would not be easy or it might be impossible. The entire planet suffered a unexplainable lost, the only thing they could do was depend on each other. People could only cling to the feeling that their loves ones were alive, but their doubts were much stronger than their hopes. The entire world was a battle ground that was covered in destruction, blood, tears and bodies. It was an unimaginable scene that even movies couldn't compare to. For those who were alive grouped the dead bodies and burnt them, no one knew the identities of the people and making coffins for millions of people wasn't an option, they created other safe zones to help the injured and did everything to protect the survivors. No one knew what would happen next, but they needed to protect the survivors and secure humanities future from extinction.
All communication was lost and everything that worked with electrical power would not operate and so the human race was forced to revert back to the dark ages where everything was done by hand. Because of the advancement of the human race they thought they could handle anything that would be thrown at them, but aliens were not of their consideration and when the test really came they realized that they were not even close to being ready and the life of comfort that they lived was no more. During most of their daily lives most things were done by machines, but in their current state all electrical power was out of commission and they were back to doing things by hand, but almost everyone didn't understood such simple tasks.
Jo tried searching for his teammates after the war, but he couldn't find them, he already knew that Felix, Leo, Will and Oliver was no more, but he wasn't certain of the others and so he travelled to what once was Felix's base. When he reached the base only remains of it stood, Jo walked in steadily looking around as the rumbles crumbled beneath his boots he walked into a random room waiting for someone to appear. After a few days of tireless wait he heard someone calling out, recognizing the voice Jo responded with a shout. Rose and Simon went to Felix's base where they met Jo. He explained everything he knew and in return they did the same. The information was shared that Felix, Leo, Oliver, Will, Emillie and Sasha died and Marie, Markin, Mellie and John was nowhere to be found, they could only assume they died too or was off somewhere. Leaving the three of them as survivors, they grew closer to each other and so learning about the one's they lost brought pain to their hearts. They didn't expect Felix to die and now they didn't have any clue that pointed to where their children's were, even with that they trusted Felix with their children and so they were sure that their children's were very much alive and well. With whatever feelings they had they decided to start their journeys elsewhere and so they parted, having different plans the construct going forward. They thought the battle was over but the trials they faced wasn't even the beginning of what's to come.
