Sitting in the dining room was the Elven King and a few of the other high elves.
This was certainly not what I had been expecting to see early in the morning, but it seemed like they had been here for a while now.
It even seemed like they were settled with the way that they already had food in front of them.
Once the Elven King saw us come in, he waved his hand at me and said, "Your majesty, come and have a taste. This is some of the best hospitality that our Elven Kingdom can offer."
The way that he spoke was as if he was talking to a friend, but I couldn't see it that way.
After all, there was no reason that the Elven King would come all this way just to have breakfast with us.
There were plenty of other opportunities for us to meet, so why would he choose breakfast?
That was unless he had figured something out.
Unless he had noticed something.
