Despite both of them being tired already, neither backed down.
"It seems you are a bit injured as well, Old Sage Nirvana." The Temple Master said.
"Something minor, nothing comparable to your injury at all. At worst, I'll tire out faster."
"In that case, I'll finish this now." The Temple Master said.
He held his sword horizontally.
"Even if Gods and Immortals Exist, They Don't Dare Descend to my Human Realm."
From the edge of the sword shot out a small, thin line. It moved incredibly slow. Yet every moment, it grew larger and faster. In just a second, it was the size of the Temple Master. In ten seconds, it expanded to the size of the galaxy, and as thirty seconds passed, it seemed to cover the entire Origin Universe.
It appeared directly in front of Old Sage Nirvana. He had naturally not stood still all this time. A green spear condensed in his hand.
He had poured every ounce of power he could into it over the last thirty seconds while also strengthening his defense.
As the strike fell, he pushed out.
Everything condensed into the spear point.
The two attacks collided, causing anybody and everybody nearby to spit out blood. Countless buildings were destroyed, and space was rendered untraversable.
When everything cleared, the Temple Master stood exhausted, while Old Sage Nirvana lay embedded into a building blood, covering his body.
The Temple Master sheathed his sword and turned around.
"Let's go. You have a bit of explaining to do." The Temple Master said to Zhou Fan.
Zhou Fan nodded and followed him.
Everyone else was left shocked as they left the Origin Universe.
Old Sage Nirvana may not have truly been the peak of strength present in the Origin Universe, but those stronger than him would most likely never appear unless the Origin Universe in its entirety was threatened.
When they returned to the Nine Heavens Universe, the Temple Master brought Zhou Fan back to the Temple of the Human realm.
"So you are from the past, and the Master of the Mi lord." He said.
Zhou Fan nodded.
The Temple Master took a seat.
"Tell me about the past."
Since he had helped out, Zhou Fan didn't mind
The Temple Master listened with interest as Zhou Fan told him about what the past was like.
The Temple Master asked some questions in depth, clearly curious about some things.
"You say you knew a person named Lu Wei who had a three sided dice as his innate talent?" The Temple Master asked.
Zhou Fan nodded. "He was a rather talented person. Why do you ask?"
"Besides having the same surname as Lord Lu, the three sided dice garnered my attention. Lord Lu had a treasure like that. I'm not sure about the specifics, but I know it was extremely valuable to him."
Zhou Fan found yet another connection he may have to this Lord Lu.
However, he did not talk with the Temple Master for much longer.
"I need to get back to the Origin Era. Me being away for so long is already dangerous enough as it is." He explained.
The Temple Master nodded in understanding. "Good luck. If you ever need any help, find me. There are few throughout the entire Universe who can fight me. If I ever manage to fully recover, that number will plummet to near zero.
Zhou Fan asked one more question. "How strong were you at your peak?"
The Temple Master smiled. "Besides Lord Lu, I was the strongest of our generation. Even among those ancient monsters, few could possibly fight me. On the enemy side, there were no more than five people who had the possibility of defeating me. That includes the most ancient beings from time passed. I won't go into details since you clearly don't want to learn about specifics too much."
Zhou Fan nodded.
He left the Nine Heavens Universe and made his way through many teleportation hubs.
Before long, he was back in the Fire Spirit Universe.
He did not waste any time. He had already learned about everything he needed to learn about, and the prophet was dead. In addition, it was unlikely that anybody from the Nine Heavens Universe would get involved with the struggle over the Origin Era due to him explaining it was a lie to some of the important people.
He had completely diverted this crisis. He went back to the hole in time he had exited from and entered the River of Time once again.
He did not meet the fish. Everything was hard to sense until he once again found himself in the Origin Era. Nothing much had changed. It was almost exactly the same as when he had left, and not much time had passed.
Despite everything, Zhou Fan did not let his guard down.
Even if it was widely considered that the prophet was a liar, that did not remove the fact that the Origin Era was open. It was a completely fresh place with very few people of incredible power. If someone didn't like their position in the future, they would surely consider coming back to this time period.
And there would most likely even be some people that still believed the prophet and came for the Origin of Cultivation.
What he needed to do now was check up with the fish. If there was a chance that the clouds of time could be destroyed and the connection of past and present severed, it would be with him.
When Zhou Fan found him, he was doing the same thing he had always done, wrestling for control over the power of time.
The future River of Time had thrown this time period into chaos, but Zhou Fan could tell that this had not been an intentional act by the future version of the fish.
This could only be an accident, as the future version of the fish most likely did not have this level of power in the first place.
"What is your progress in regaining control over the power of time?" Zhou Fan asked.
