The alarm at the Plague Bed had already ceased,
not because the danger had been averted, but because the alarm room had been wiped out,
This grating alarm sound annoyed William quite a bit, even reminding him of triggering alarms back at the Orphanage, so he went directly to its source,
Lifting his arm and spreading his back, he delivered a slap,
Smack! The powerful gust of wind instantly destroyed all the equipment in the room.
The rat swarms that should have been pouring in continuously were now only arriving occasionally, one or two at a time, and even then trembling uncontrollably.
In the eyes of the rat-people, this well-dressed, smiling young man was an absolute demon, an ultimate evil that they could never defeat, one that would cause their bodies to explode instantaneously if they dared to come too close.
Yet, William smiled and beckoned to the rat-people at the door, "Hey~ if you're really scared, then don't force it. How about you lead me to Dugall's office instead?"
