"What happened?" Allen looked around him as he stood outside the door of his flat. Even though he had a house on the outskirts of the city, he still used the flat in Chicago regularly. He didn't understand what he was doing here, then looked down at his hand where he held a pink wallet.
Allen's morning started as usual but was interrupted by Eve, who was acting strangely like she hadn't slept in two days, which was likely given the exams she had to take. In any case, she woke Allen up and told him the fridge was empty, so she gave him money and pushed him out of the apartment.
Allen, still groggy, wanted to remind her that he could literally make anything appear out of thin air. The system could also provide any kind of food, but putting that aside, Allen felt weird when Eve handed him the money. Did the girl forget that Allen is rich thanks to Cecil?
Wednesday – She seems agitated; it's better not to provoke her more.
Rebecca – Hahaha, I can't deal with this. Eve is the best girl in this world!~
Jalter – Hmph, that's what you get for being a womanizer; you've got crazy girls everywhere.
Allen ignored the dolls' teasing and shrugged before teleporting to the nearest supermarket.
Many would think Allen would never go out in pajamas and sandals, but in the end, he did. While he liked to look presentable for work, he didn't really care about his clothes as long as they weren't ridiculous and were clean.
Allen watched people come and go, it was already nine o'clock, just today Allen was up late.
...
Allen grabbed a supermarket basket and walked down the aisles, while many people around him froze in place. There was even a child who dropped his ice cream when he saw Allen. He used Reparo to put the ice cream back in its place and went on his way.
Allen quickly became a trending topic on social media for going out in pajamas. Of course, not everyone recognized him, they thought he was someone else, because who in their right mind would think they were seeing the world's strongest man buying milk and eggs like an ordinary mortal?!
Allen turned on the stream and left his viewers stunned.
Rogue – Alright, Sensei, you've had your fun, where's today's apocalyptic alien?
"It's called lactose, and it's right in front of you, Rouge..."
Cate – Very funny, and the cosmic destroyer entity?
"It's called cholesterol, and it's in the eggs, but don't worry, only in large amounts." Allen held up two different brands of eggs, unsure of which to choose. "Golden Farm? Uncle Eggton? What kind of names are these?"
Natasha – Honey, you're not in our world, hehe.
"Oh, that's right," Allen, not knowing what to choose, turned to a store employee, "Excuse me, which one do you think is better?"
"..."
"Sir?"
"Ah... maybe Golden Farm... they use fewer growth hormones for their chickens and generally have a better... (Swallows nervously) reputation... Sir"
"Thanks." Allen threw the carton into the basket and proceeded to look for cereal.
2B – Master, would you mind if I...?
"Go ahead."
2B appeared next to Allen in the meat section, starting to evaluate the price-quality ratio. Allen noticed 2B frowning and approached her.
"Is something wrong?"
"Master," 2B turned to him, frowning, holding two packs of meat, "This meat is on sale, but it's not the quality I would buy. On the other hand, this one is higher quality, but at a higher price, and I would need three portions."
Allen furrowed his brow, stroking his chin as if this were a decision that would determine the fate of humanity. After a moment, he responded like the jerk who charges a hundred thousand dollars for just farting.
"Buy the cheap one, more meat for less cost, no need to hesitate."
Natasha – ...
Annie – ...
Diana – ...
Unohana – ...
Gwen – MJ...
MJ – Yeah, this tightwad won't be in charge of shopping again.
Felicia – Ah, but if it were not meat but coffee, Allen is capable of paying for a good coffee with antimatter -_-
...
(Half an hour later)
Allen left the supermarket with a couple of bags and headed to the parking lot, but then remembered he had teleported there. He could simply take a car out of his inventory but... Since he was doing regular shopping, he decided to walk to the street to take public transport instead.
After walking for a few minutes Allen arrived at the crosswalk.
It was a normal morning in this big city, with many people around Allen, each with their own stories and problems. how no one among these civilians was particularly extraordinary or supernatural, it often went unnoticed.
From a distance, sirens could be heard, but most people were used to it and didn't pay much attention. Allen, of course, had even worked as a cop in this world, but his extreme laziness at the moment made him ignore the cause of the commotion, letting the police take care of it.
Kara – Aren't you going to go?
"And take the job away from law enforcement? No, Kara, I'm not that evil."
Allen said this nonchalantly as if he hadn't portrayed everyone from a judge to a traffic cop, issuing "exaggerated" fines to criminals and even minor offenders.
Allen grabbed a snack from a bag and started eating it, carefree. This attitude was criticized by many, saying Allen had become lazy lately. Fortunately, this time, the bastard wouldn't escape his responsibilities. As he crossed the street, the sirens grew louder and louder until he could see a chase in the distance.
Allen watched as the armored vehicle, leaving destruction in its wake, headed toward him.
Raven – Well, now you can't make excuses, huh...
Maeve – Well, being a hero once in a while isn't a bad thing, is it, darling?~
"Mmm..."
From the criminals' perspective, there was a guy in sandals in the middle of the street, acting crazy. These guys knew that time was crucial—the longer they took, the more likely the heroes would arrive. So, without mercy, they sped up to run Allen over.
People started running, not understanding what was happening, but Allen didn't move, standing right in the middle of the street. He looked at his hands, which were holding the shopping bags, then lifted his foot to the sky. Once the criminals appeared in front of him, he stomped down, crushing the front of the armored vehicle. The criminals felt like they had crashed into a wall—two of them had seatbelts on, but the one in the back flew into the windshield, breaking his back in the process.
Allen kept eating his snack and proceeded to leave.
"This city is so dangerous, one can't even go out to buy cereal without some crazy guy trying to kill you."
PercyJ – Yeah, buddy, it's very dangerous... you never know when the devil will show up in the street and crush your car into the ground. :0
...
(The next day in NYC)
Allen yawned as he landed in front of a restaurant, with Anissa landing behind him.
"Allen, are we going to kill someone?" Anissa asked, clearly confused.
"..." Allen silently observed Anissa. "No... probably not."
The Viltrumite woman usually helped Allen in his work as a Regulator, generally targeting people dressed as superheroes or villains, then punching them a bit and writing some random amount on a piece of paper, the more zeros, the better. She would then proceed to punch them one last time. As a result, several superheroes complained to Cecil, who then complained to Allen.
Allen knew Anissa was a smart woman, but for some reason, she thought Allen just went around beating people and extorting them, which is why she did the same thing. Today, Allen wanted to show her how a real Regulator works... no, how "The Regulator" works.
Allen smiled wickedly and entered a famous three-star Michelin restaurant.
Rukia – I don't understand what you're trying to do, but someone's going to suffer a lot...
"Haha, nonsense!"
Eve – I was wondering where you were, and now I see you're playing again...
Amanda – You know the establishment owners fear you more than the villains, right?
Kate – What did they expect? Allen's the monster from adults' closets.
"Hey, that's rude!" Allen adjusted his monocle and walked into the place with an attitude full of severity and authority. Anissa dressed more casually, followed, taking Allen's arm.
The receptionist glanced at the couple and didn't immediately recognize them, but felt a pressure from their presence, so she swallowed nervously.
"S-Sir, we don't have any tables."
"I know, I picked a similar time to come..."
Allen's eyes glowed as if he were the devil himself, but to the restaurant, it was worse than that. Anissa, understanding the vibe, pulled out a business card Allen had given her earlier and handed it to the receptionist.
"...!"4 The girl fell to her knees upon reading the title, "Regional Health Inspector." Whether that position existed or not, Allen had given himself that title.
The manager rushed down, pale, and looked at Allen. Then, with a trembling voice, he spoke, "Mr. Walker, we deeply apologize for what happened that day, but it's—"
"Excuse me, I'm Inspector Walker, and she's my assistant, Sub-Inspector Anissa. I'm conducting an inspection of your establishment, and I expect you to show me around the facilities in a cordial manner."
"Sir..."
The man began to sweat as he regretted not having attended to Allen in the past.
*Cough*
"Sir, any personal issues are off the table."
Allen implied that he was an inspector and that this was unrelated to the incident a week ago where he brought Eve to dinner but they didn't have tables and when they didn't recognize Allen they practically threw him out.
"Ugh..." The manager started walking, with Allen following.
"Anissa, rule number one: you're either the devil or the savior, depending on the situation. You must not let things like RESENTMENT or PITY cloud your judgment." The manager trembled but could do nothing; he knew that even the president couldn't stop Allen Walker once he decided to mess with someone. However, the manager hadn't lost hope. His restaurant was spotless; no matter what Allen searched for, he wouldn't find anything. With that thought in mind, the manager regained his composure and managed to calm himself.
"Manager..."
Allen's words sounded like a judge sentencing someone to death.
"Yes?"
"What's in that direction?" Allen pointed to a door that only said "Employees."
"It's the storage room..."
"Could you show us?"
"Yes..."
The manager led Allen and Anissa to the place. The onlookers began to get bored, as in the end, it was just Allen torturing a poor man, but they didn't understand that Allen could do much worse to those who irritated him.
Allen adjusted his monocle.
[Monocle "Mother-in-law Vision" *Green*] – Equipable item – Monsterous ability to detect dirt, even if the daughter-in-law hides it – Trash, cockroach, and rat tracker – Creates an intimidating mother-in-law effect on people – "I won't let you have my baby, bitch, said a mother-in-law to her daughter-in-law who stole her beloved son"
Just the monocle was a living nightmare, but Allen smiled. This was just the beginning. In his pocket, he had a small box, another of the new system items imbued with Toon Force magic.
[POV Mom Box] – All dirt is amplified – All intruders are magnified – Everything wrong gets worse – "It is known that for a mother, even the smallest dirt becomes the origin of the Black Plague~"
Allen was a monster when he put his mind to it. Some noticed Allen's smile and lamented the poor manager's fate. Upon reaching the door, the manager turned around with a smile.
"Mr. Walker, our storage area is strictly supervised and cleaned by professionals..."
"Ahhh!"
Opening the door was hell. An employee screamed while covered in cockroaches. The manager closed the door, thinking he had seen an illusion.
"Is something wrong?" Allen asked with a mocking smile.
The manager smiled, "It's nothing, I think I need a little break. I'm seeing things."
Allen nodded, showing compassion, "Rest is important."
The manager laughed awkwardly and opened the door again.
"Back off, Beast!" The employee was using a broom to fight off a rat the size of a bull.
"SHAAAA!" The giant rat roared as it charged at the brave employee.
"I will never let you eat me alive!"
The manager closed the door and rubbed his eyes. Behind him was Allen, with a relaxed look, and Anissa, who watched with interest. From the Viltrumite's point of view, this creature must be one of many earth animals she was unfamiliar with.
"Is something wrong?" Allen smiled shamelessly as if pretending not to have seen anything.
The pale manager opened the door once more. This time, he saw the storage employee tangled in the web of a horrible giant spider. The man, devoid of all hope, looked at the manager in desperation.
"...!" The man knelt down.
"I see..." Allen entered with a calm, critical voice. "Sir, you have problems with cockroaches, rats, and spiders. This won't look good in my report."
The manager grabbed his head and clung to Allen's legs.
"Ahhh! No! Don't do this to me! I'll kneel! I'll apologize! I'll do anything!"
The manager tried to undo Allen's pants, but this time, the bastard couldn't stay indifferent.
"Get away from me, degenerate!"
"I'll do anything!"
Allen pushed him away and kicked him in the ribs. Then he adjusted his pants, furious.
"What a pervert... there's no respect in this damn place!"
The chat was speechless. It was all Allen's doing, but the audacity to be offended by the manager attacking him was remarkable.
"I don't understand, but what do we do with the spider?" Anissa had seen many cultures, but it was the first time she felt some were incomprehensible to her.
Gwen – Anissa, don't worry. Allen is sometimes weird even for us...
Allen smiled mysteriously, "Don't worry, Anissa, like my grandfather said, or would have said if I had known him, the best way to kill a giant spider is with a giant newspaper! Nokotan!"
Nokotan appeared next to Allen, opened her own head, and pulled out a giant newspaper, which, when rolled up, looked like a light pole.
"Nun!" Nokotan mercilessly struck the spider, killing it instantly.
Allen petted Nokotan's head and looked at the manager, "I won't shut down your business, but I hope you handle the pests better."
Allen left Nokotan, who disappeared and approached the manager before kneeling and giving him a fine.
"Well well well, I'll let you go for this small amount," Allen face was dark.
The manager, seeing the amount, fainted.
Allen smiled at Anissa, "This is what a regulator does..."
Anissa looked around. The employee was laughing like a madman, and in a corner, the previous rat was also tangled in a web. The manager lay unconscious, foam coming from his mouth.
Anissa's face lit up, "I see, so you're a kind of torturer!"
"Haha, I wouldn't say that. I just make sure that everyone who knows me understands that seeking trouble with me will lead to the deepest and most absolute despair, " Allen put away his monocle and the box then with a snap released the employee and destroyed the mutant rat.
"Oh I see it's a very noble job~", Anissa's face softened as if traumatizing two people was a good thing.
Emma Frost – As expected ❤️~
Maria Hill – Don't encourage him, or else when we return, he'll do the same here.
Aphrodite – Ah~ what a wonderful way to deal with criminals~ as expected from my husband, a man of virtue❤️~
Putting the jokes aside, Allen left the restaurant in good spirits, Anissa clinging to his arm.
As they both left they noticed people on the street pointing in the distance. When Allen looked, he was stunned to see the head of the Statue of Liberty falling onto the avenue, destroying the ground.
"Now what, Godzilla?"
...
[TOM TOM HOLY F_CK]
At the top of the prison where Multi-Paul had been before, a young man dressed in black and blue smiled. He had the familiar face of Invincible but with a mohawk.
This Invincible laughed as he flew toward the prison and destroyed it.
"Is this what you call a prison?!" The Mohawk Invincible emerged from the prison, laughing like a maniac.
...
Elsewhere in the world, a superhero dressed like a knight fell as the entire city was engulfed in flames.
In this place, the same thing happened. An Invincible in a yellow suit crossed his arms and glared at the superhero in anger.
"Pathetic! I wouldn't even accept you as a slave in my empire!"
...
An Invincible with a deformed face and a white suit, as if he were a Viltrumite, smiled before attacking a pair of superheroes. "After a year in a Viltrumite prison, I could use a warm-up!"
...
An explosion occurred in a building, and an Invincible in an elite Viltrumite soldier's uniform began to fight a superhero in a black suit and red cape.
"I killed you once, and I'll do it again, Spawn!"
...
In space, an Invincible in Viltrumite clothes but with a mustache attacked a man in armor, but the man only shot an energy ray so powerful it killed him.
Tech Jacket looked at the Earth before turning and leaving, but at that moment, he received a kick that made him stagger back, incredulous, as it even damaged his suit.
"Bruh, I like your suit~"
An Invincible stood in space in front of Tech Jacket, leaving him stunned, as he wore a Geldarian power armor like his.
"It's impossible!"
"That's what everyone says," Invincible smiled. "Hey, buddy, can you do this?"
Invincible's arm distorted and created a massive cannon, leaving Tech Jacket speechless. A second later, a massive burst of energy lit up the sky. Tech Jacket was swallowed by the light and disappeared.
Tech Mark shrugged, "Well, I guess my Suit was better updated~"
...
In a gloomy city, an Invincible laughed while chasing Batman, who was throwing batarangs to keep his distance.
"Oh, that was close!" The sinister Invincible in a yellow and black suit laughed. "Hey, you're like Darkwing, just you don't die as easily."
Batman squinted and threw a green batarang. Invincible caught it and looked at it with interest.
"What is this, Plutonium?" The sinister Invincible smiled and squeezed it, but the batarang just broke, disappointing him.
"Oh, man, I thought it was a nuclear bomb. How boring!"
Batman wasn't surprised that the Kryptonite didn't work.
"Well, well, I've had my fun. Time to die, Bat... Man. Haha!"
Buzzing
"Ahhh!"
The sinister Invincible grabbed his head after hearing the sharp sound coming from an object in Batman's hand.
"BASTARD!"
"It seems your prediction came true, Allen," Batman looked at the sky as three more Invincibles watched him. "There are more than eighteen..."
