"Archers, FIRE!" Alaric commanded, and immediately, thousands of arrows and projectile-slinging abilities were heading toward Mallory!
Mallory snarled, and shouted, "I'll deal with you the same way I dealt with your king!"
Alaric turned to Adeline, who simply nodded.
Before the battle, Alaric asserted that she would dispel any illusions and send some in Mallory's direction when she could.
Mallory rushed away from his spot in the center of the encirclement, the Solar Descent fizzling out as he did, and immediately appeared in front of Alaric.
His finger thrust itself toward Alaric's chest, the exact same spot as before, just from the front.
"Die!"
As the finger approached his chest, Alaric's armor disintegrated, and Mallory's finger hit him!
Except, it didn't go through!
Mallory looked shocked, "What?!"
Alaric just smirked, while thinking to himself, 'The rust-resistant blue steel can still be disintegrated by him at close range... good thing I have orichalcum.'
