[Reward: 23401 Chrono coins]
Magnus accepted the coins with a little of dissatisfaction before he was greeted by Gobo and Monique.
2 months had passed since he entered the capsule and his name was now many times longer than it used to be.
Albeit short of infinity, which needed every word in perfect combination with each other. It wasn't too far behind. His potential multiplied a thousandfold in the eyes of everyone.
Of course, that potential depended on him and how far he was willing to take it.

[Magnus _____]
[No. 8952]
[Evaluation: Potential top 10 seedling]
[Chrono points: 23601]
The jump from the top 300 to the top 10 was incredible. Still, he was incredibly drained, even though he was supplied with the necessary things to keep him at full power.
Time spent in his 'lives' would weigh him for quite some time and, according to Gobo, it might take a week. As such, he spent most of his time sleeping.
His appetite spiked for a while as well before it returned to its normal state and nightmares weren't too uncommon.
He had a good night's sleep after it went away. When he wasn't sleeping or eating, he was acquiring information that would be handy.
Some could be transmitted in his brain in an instant and some he had to comprehend and stuffing information in one's brain made it many times harder than to comprehend it and then memorize.
To his surprise, there was no one who tried to fix this issue, but according to Gobo, there was a good reason that it was that way.
People who overused this program showed holes in their basics and comprehension prowess in the later stages of their lives. Although a small sample size.
No one in their right mind would throw away their futures for few minimal benefits when their fate was to rule over uncountable amounts of beings.
It was foolish and this path would never be pioneered if it wasn't for the lower dimensions where there are no unique energies and technology is advanced.
Many other unorthodox paths became scorned even by the talentless because they were too unpredictable and would require a true pioneer instead of an overconfident fool.
Back to his learning. He found out the reason why everyone's first goal was to reach the origin of their names.
"Magnus, throw an identification spell on me." Gobo said one day during a lecture.
Magnus did as he was told.
[Gobo The Goblin]
[Age: 21]
[Sex: Female]
[Race: Goblin]
[Danger: None]
[Skills: None]
"You might think that I used some kind of spell or something of that sort to create a fake. That is not the case though as this screen is true as long as I wish it to be." Gobo said as he explained some more.
To reach the origin was not only to reach the level of their ancestors but also to become a sand grain in the desert.
Unless targeted by potent spells like divination or curses with a specific and strong medium, painful price and more powerful individual, there was virtually no system that could see through them.
It was one of the most welcomed abilities which showed its prowess over the lifespan of many years.
Once Gobo reached origin, he became a Goblin. One simple goblin that could be found anywhere as if he was back in his younger days.
With the snap of his fingers, he could create something ridiculous like heavenly constellation black hole goblins that solely inhabited black holes and if he successfully bred, it would become a real race.
They couldn't affect the parameters of their descendants, though. When given powerful names, they would become powerful, but it could take trillions of years or there could be one offspring in every universal cycle.
After Gobo confirmed that Magnus understood one of the benefits of the origin. It became the time for him to get close to his origin and find out why compressing more names mattered.
The same arena appeared where Monique beat the crap out of him. This time though, he was versing against his tutor.
At first he kept his distance as he channeled his mana for the first time properly since he completed his mission.
His body actually creaked as he felt a much more viscous mana travel through his body before a much more powerful spell attacked Gobo.
"Meaning." Gobo said as he looked at Magnus with a very relaxed body. A mana blast in the shape of a spear hurled itself at Gobo.
In return, he spat out a small shield the size of a grain. It met the spear in no time and enlarged itself as it engulfed it and vanished.
"Races that have fancy names like celestial humans or just dragons are special for one simple reason. The worthy ancestors gave them meaning." Gobo said as he unleashed a couple of quick attacks.
Magnus listened as he suffered through his trashing. They were small like needles as they forced him to wobble around whilst channeling some mana for quick shields.
In the beginning, it was quite hard for him to listen with the much heavier mana creating chaos in his body and spells coming at him.
But it was getting better. His body grew accustomed to the heavier mana, and no longer gave out those weird sounds.
He had no time to notice, but even when so rigid. The speeds he reached were multiple fold of his past self that could use it to perfection.
Before, he was a laptop cooling fan and now he was a rocket engine. The changes were, frankly, quite incredible.
There was another pleasant surprise Magnus got. Gobo didn't massacre him like Monique to the point where the arena would heal him.
By extension, his mana as well. And he didn't need it. Like a river, the dense mana kept pouring out with no intention of stopping.
Rough attacks that looked like doodles made by a third grader became more refined. His grasp over everything grew before it slowed down to a crawl he was familiar with.
The small attacks Gobo hurdled against him now broke with ease when he put an appropriate power into it.
"Good, you acclimated to your new power. Now I'll show you what happens when someone surpasses their ancestors. Gives the name goblin a higher meaning and blesses every poor gob across all realities." Gobo said as he unleashed a part of his real power.
It didn't spread beyond the arena, nor did it engulf it. Rather, it engulfed the reality around Gobo himself. Every law screeched as if bowing down to a noble being.
Magnus felt a slight urge from deep within him to pay respects. As if his own ancestor told him that Gobo was worthy of his respect.
His stature represented something more than personal power. It was like a God for goblins that gave them their luck, power, and conviction to reach the same level.
Gobo kept it up for a few moments before he retracted it and returned to his most comfortable form. He was back to being like any other Gob.
A quirk he noticed just from Gobo. Other instructors were filled with pride, which they deserved, of course. But even the most 'humble' still emitted a tiny bit of similar aura he felt a few moments before.
It was not until now that he noticed the lack of such an aura around Gobo.
"Oooh, not bad Magnus! Come, let me gift you a hug as a gift!" Monique said as she appeared beside him at some point in time.
Now, even his body recognised the danger she was as he evaded and cast a bunch of escape spells to no avail.
Gobo watched them in amusement and readied his next step in training. Magnus was not ready to train alongside Monique. It should not take too long.
After all, she was preparing to reach her origin before taking a shot at the infinite legend in the inner academy.
He just hoped that Magnus wouldn't miss her too much. Ladies like her are rare treasures after everything is said and done...
Another day went by and Gobo brought him into a mana rich environment. The place had one simple function.
And it was called the horde game. By one's choosing, a horde of anything would come at you constantly.
Be it one at a time during every second of a day. Or it could be millions during the day and none during the night.
Gobo set him a bunch of challenges against various races that were common in the vast realities and dimensions which he should get some fighting experience with.
Magnus watched as Gobo left. Ahead of him was a challenge he was quite confident in. Well, he was confident when he was facing enemies like ogres.
Spatial hedgehogs capable of skewering you from any angles were a different story... The varieties were quite surprising, and many forced him to adapt.
From spatial hedgehogs that taught him how to sense space disturbance on a very small level unless he wished to become a shish kebab.
To some lava blobs similar to slimes that could engulf multiple kilometers and turn it into a lava battlefield. When he first began, the fights were quick and easy, with straightforward fights.
However, every powerful race he never heard about or was mythical had their special powers. He even met a feathered serpent and a Roc that were not restricted.
Safe to say that if he had to fight them with just weakened specialities of theirs, he would be a goner.
The Roc could somehow grab and snatch a part of him almost at will. It took him a lot of angry moments before he found out the reason.
It used the slight iron in his body to literally latch onto any part of his body and just teleport it to its claws.
That day he learned how to shroud his body at all times instead of gushing it out in bursts like he learned on Earth. A bad habit, he realised.
Much to his relief, the feathered serpent held a similar speciality but with hydrogen. Its environment was filled with it.
And with just its will, it could force it to explode at will whilst powering the explosion many times over.
Instead of his body, he suffered until he could wrestle over the space around his body so he wasn't engulfed in explosion constantly.
If he could choose to go back and live another thousand lives. He would not hesitate...
