Almost at Perfection
After fighting the ape, Adam wasn't rushing to find another one. Instead, he decided to train.
Training while his body was on the brink of exhaustion was the most effective. Right now, as his body started to feel its limit, it was the perfect chance.
So he quickly reached into his pocket, pulled out a high-quality Body Refining Pill, swallowed it, and immediately started to use the Federation's exercise to refine its effects.
Jabs, hooks, leg sweeps—every part of Adam's body was being utilized as he quickly started using all of his muscles to refine the surplus of Spiritual Qi flowing within his body.
Minutes went by like this: Adam, in a forest, refined the swelling energy in his body. However, just because Adam exercised didn't mean his body wasn't changing.
Adam didn't know it at this point, but his alchemy talent, having been upgraded to the cosmic grade, had influenced his other talents.
There was a saying that a person's character is the sum of the five people closest to them. Talents were somewhat similar in this aspect.
If a kid awakened a high-grade speed talent, they would more often than not also have a high-grade cultivation talent to match it.
Think of Yan Xiaonan; she was a prime example of this phenomenon. She had a high-grade cultivation talent and a high-grade speed talent simultaneously, the same as Sam's cultivation and alchemy talents. Both were high-grade.
Yet, Adam had a talent at the cosmic-grade with a low-grade strength talent. The disparity between the two was like a sparrow and a phoenix. It was basically impossible for two polarizing talents to be in one person, yet thanks to Adam's system, it did.
However, this didn't mean that it would forever stay like this.
Ever since Adam got his cosmic-grade alchemy talent, his cultivation—the one that had stayed with him untouched this entire time—has been showing faint signs of improving!
Despite being in the same rank, some talents still differed. One high-grade cultivation talent can be so good that it rivaled supreme-grade talents, while one could be the opposite, so bad that it was basically a middle-grade one.
For Adam, he had a situation similar to the latter version. His middle-grade cultivation talent wasn't too good and was on the lower side of the scale. But thanks to the influence of the cosmic-grade cultivation talent, his cultivation talent was at the lower 25th percentile and was now much closer to the lower 40th percentile!
This was also why his alchemy talent was only a low-grade, even though he had a middle-grade cultivation talent. His cultivation talent was at the bottom of the middle-grade, while his alchemy talent was at the top of the low-grade.
And while some might say that this minor, less than 10% upgrade wasn't too much, you must remember that barely any time had passed since Adam had upgraded his alchemy talent.
If a month, two months, or even a year passed, Adan's original middle-grade cultivation talent would undoubtedly continue to upgrade, and perhaps even change ranks and go to a high, or possibly even supreme-grade!
Of course, none of this would be possible without the help of Adam's new system, but it was still an amazing phenomenon that was worth studying. Sadly, Adam would never figure this out as he would upgrade his talents before they would do so naturally, making such a study impossible.
Also, even if Adam were to stumble onto this phenomenon, there wasn't a snowflake's chance in hell he would tell other people.
What was he going to say? That he got a cosmic-grade alchemy talent randomly, and now his middle-grade cultivation talent naturally improved itself a grade?
Saying something like that would be a blunder and potentially expose his system. Adam would use the system to its full effect and excavate every inch of its potential, but he would never show or tell another soul about this.
This was a secret he would keep to his grave.
Well, anyway, back to Adam.

Eventually, under the intense exercise, Adam refined all of the Spiritual Qi in his body.
Now, deflated and completely exhausted, Adam lay on the forest ground as he felt his muscles begin to ache from the intense workout.
However, underneath the pain and soreness was a smile. The workout was vigorous and painful, but the rewards bore fruit immediately.
Pulling up his status screen, Adam's eyes turned into crescents as a wide grin appeared.

"Eight more points! Just eight more points and I can be at the peak of this generation!" Adam shouted in jubilation.
Usually, he was calm and composed, especially since he had lived an entire other life, but looking at his ever-changing fate, he couldn't contain himself. Adam might've only been told about the vitality index score recently, but from Principal Smith's words, he knew that a 98.4 on the score was completely unheard of, at least on Planet Eagle.
Adam wanted to trust Principal Smith's words, but he couldn't.
On Planet Eagle, where the population was at least a few hundred billion, it was slightly possible that barely any high school seniors would be able to reach a perfect 100 on their vitality index score, but Planet Eagle was just one planet in one part of the Milky Way Galaxy.
Planets like Planet Eagle weren't just a dime a dozen. There were hundreds, if not thousands, of planets like it throughout just the Sagittarius Arm alone. If you were to count the entire galaxy? Countless was the only way to describe it.
Of course, there was his system. Something that was changing his fate. But Adam just got it, and he barely even scratched the surface of it. With how few benefits he had gotten so far thanks to the system, excluding the cosmic-grade alchemy talent, Adam didn't think he was even in the top 40th percentile of seniors in the entire galaxy.
The Milky Way was too damn big after all. It stretched over 100,000 light-years and housed an unimaginable number of exoplanets. Placed inside a sea that big, Adam was just another fish.
Adam had trusted Principal Smith his entire life, but what he said in that lab made too little sense when put under a microscope. The more he thought about it, the less sense it made.
That old man was hiding something. He could smell it.
"That doesn't matter, though. No matter how insignificant I am now, I have all the time in the world. Just slowly improve and train. I don't believe I won't become someone powerful in the future." Adam wasn't daunted, though. In just a few days, he had turned from a nobody to someone at the top of his planet's generation.
And since the college exams were about three months away, Adam didn't believe for a second that the Milky Way Galaxy wouldn't have a place for him by then.
Raising his fist to the skies, Adam's eyes glistened with hope and excitement.
"Time, just a bit more time is all I need."

There is now a Discord for this novel. However, be warned. It is rather bare bones. I suck at Discord.
