After his short conversation with Raphael, Laurus pushed his blade further, forcing Raphael to step back, which created a space between them. Looking at him, Raphael saw some changes to Laurus's body.
In less than a second, simultaneously, Laurus's horns grew longer, scales sprouted on his arms from below the elbows to his fingers, his fingernails grew longer and sharper, and his irises narrowed into slits.
Raphael narrowed his eyes as Laurus's transformation was fundamentally similar to a skill called Dragonization. He concluded that that was the case, especially that he was a Dragonoid just like Melville.
Aside from manifesting physical dragonic features, Dragonization also boosted the user's stats by a certain level. Laurus was also a beast in his base form, and Raphael was worried that he might be harder to deal with.
