"Chairman, how is the situation on the other side of the rift?" someone present asked.
"Uh... we couldn't catch Lailin; he managed to escape." Lemo answered truthfully.
After chasing through the Space Cracks earlier, Speaker Lemo discovered that Lailin had set up numerous arrangements on the other side.
He, along with the trailing Daland Military Chief, Executive Andrew, and others, were trapped in layer upon layer of illusions.
By the time they broke through the illusions and returned to the real world, Lailin had disappeared without a trace.
However, they didn't feel discouraged. They dispersed in this direction to continue searching for any clue of Lailin's whereabouts.
"Sigh, that's such a pity!" someone around lamented.
"Yes, such a pity. Lailin's wings were already clipped. If only we could've eradicated him completely!"
