"Repeat your spell, but this time, instead of drawing the circle, picture it in your mind then say the words," he instructed. Hazel looked doubtful which he understood. "Have a little faith in yourself. You can do it. I believe in you," he encouraged and she smiled.
"Okay," Hazel nodded at her and shut her eyes to picture what the magic circle looked like. Her first attempt was futile. Hazel opened her eyes and cocked her head to look at him. "I can grasp how it works," she said with sunken shoulders.
"That is alright. It is normal to not get it the first time," he planted a tender kiss on her temple. "How about this, not only do you envision it, channel the power inside you and direct it to a specific part of your body like this," he stretched his hand a magic circle appeared in front of him. He dispelled it a little later. "Or this," this time it appeared under their feet which had Hazel drawing closer to him. "It's harmless until the words are said," he assured her.
