Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Chief Jewelry Designer

But ultimately, because she was a blood relative of the Sutton family, the old man couldn't bring himself to strangle her, but he did something worse than that.

He somehow found a girl and claimed that she was born under the fate of the Emperor Star, and in ancient times, even as a woman, she could become an emperor.

Meanwhile, Quiana Sutton, was born under the fate of the Seven Killings Star, destined to bring misfortune to her parents and sever ties with family and friends, making her an ominous person.

From then on, the old man gave Quiana's original name, Charlotte Sutton, and identity to that girl, who became the eldest young lady of the Sutton family, Charlotte Sutton, while Quiana was given a random name and cast aside.

The old man forced Quiana to give up her name, give up her identity, and even forced her to become someone else.

He forced her to become her deceased brother, to imitate her brother's habits and lifestyle, almost compelling her to change her gender.

The entire Sutton family was enveloped in a suffocating atmosphere, and he was occasionally grateful that the girl left that place before she completely lost her mind.

At this moment.

A piece of news quietly climbed to the top of the trending list, only to quickly fall off again.

[Latest news, renowned jewelry designer Alexander Skylane will arrive at Capital City International Airport at 10 AM tomorrow.]

Alexander Skylane's work shocked the design world when it first appeared, elevating him to a legendary status in the field of design.

Even though he has only given one interview, it captivated countless men and women, turning them into his fans.

The next day.

Oliver Gale saw Quiana Sutton wearing a mask and sunglasses, looking ready to go out, and asked curiously:

"Quiana, aren't you having breakfast?"

She glanced at Durrell Landon, who was sitting at the main seat with an unreadable expression, and lazily refused.

"No, I've got something else to do."

When she finished speaking, Durrell Landon looked up at her, but could only see her back as she was about to leave.

The rich aroma of coffee seemed to lose its allure inexplicably.

Capital City International Airport.

Quiana arrived at 8 AM, checked her phone, and saw a response from Alexander Skylane saying he had already arrived at the airport. She looked around but didn't see any familiar faces.

Just then, a voice suddenly rang out:

"Miss, could you please lift your feet? I'm trying to mop the floor."

Quiana was about to move when she suddenly felt the voice was very familiar. She quickly took off the hat on the person in front of her, and indeed, the man disguised as a cleaner was Alexander Skylane. A chill rose in her eyes as she spoke calmly:

"Alexander Skylane, is this game fun for you?"

Alexander awkwardly chuckled a few times: "Quiana, I just wanted to disguise myself... please don't be mad."

Without expression, Quiana told him, "Grab your things, let's head to the hotel."

Alexander definitely didn't dare to risk angering her at this moment. Whatever she said, he wouldn't dare to disagree.

He hurriedly responded, "Alright."

Alexander had booked the most luxurious hotel in Capital City; in matters of food and accommodation, he wouldn't compromise on comfort.

The luxurious suite on the top floor of the hotel had a view of the nearby Imperial View Manor.

He asked in amazement, "Quiana, is that manor designed by Samuel Linnel, and who could possibly hire him?"

Even though they worked in different fields, Samuel Linnel as an architect and Alexander as a jewelry designer, it didn't stop Samuel's name from being mythical in the design world, and Alexander was deeply curious about him.

Quiana poured herself a glass of water and walked to the window, looking at the Imperial View Manor in the distance.

From this vantage point, the manor looked nothing short of a piece of art.

She spoke softly, "The owner of Imperial View Manor is Durrell Landon."

Alexander looked at her, "You don't mean Zeke Landon's brother, Durrell Landon of Universal Corporation, do you?"

She glanced at him sideways, "Is there another Durrell Landon in this world who could have such wealth and status, living in Imperial View Manor?"

He shook his head; indeed, there wasn't.

At this moment.

Imperial View Manor.

Oliver Gale was sipping coffee, playing with his phone, utterly bored, and a rather amusing trending topic caught his eye.

[Major Embarrassment: Lexie Birch Flees Scene in Disgrace.]

At Capital City International Airport, there was a large crowd of fans waiting, and at that moment, Lexie Birch got off the plane. As a minor celebrity with some fan base, she thought the crowd was there for her. To her dismay, they bluntly told her they were fans of Alexander Skylane, not hers. And with so many people streaming the incident live, the awkward scene was quickly circulated and made trending news due to some instigation.

Lexie's fans, of course, were indignant and took to the comments section to argue.

[We only avoided the airport to not cause congestion; it's not because our Lexie has no fans.]

[Exactly, who even is Alexander Skylane? An unknown star with a crowd of airport fans; they must be hired by his studio for show.]

[Hey, if you don't know who Alexander Skylane is, just do a quick search online; don't let your ignorance embarrass Lexie.]

Soon someone provided more information about Alexander Skylane.

[Alexander Skylane, the eldest son of the Skylane family and lead jewelry designer at Winston.]

Lexie's fans, seeing that Alexander was merely a jewelry designer, showed disdain.

[Just a jewelry designer, what's so great about that?]

Someone replied:

[Hahaha, you may not care, but maybe Lexie would love to endorse his work.]

[Our Lexie doesn't care to endorse this jewelry brand.]

Lexie had been keeping an eye on the online developments, and upon seeing her fans' supportive comments, she almost fainted in anger.

She couldn't figure out whether her fans were helping or hurting her?

Who in the entertainment industry wouldn't kill to endorse Winston's jewelry?

Unfortunately, this jewelry brand is exceptionally exclusive and doesn't hire endorsers, but that doesn't hinder its status in the jewelry world. Borrowing a piece for an event would be a huge honor.

She never expected to clash with Alexander's fans, and she knew she had to handle the situation cautiously to avoid offending the jewelry brand.

Oliver almost couldn't suppress his laughter reading it. He wasn't interested in minor celebrities; he just found Alexander quite amusing.

"Tsk, tsk, Durrell, Alexander sure is crafty. Knowing he couldn't keep his visit a secret, he spread false information on purpose. Arriving at the airport at ten, I bet he's in the hotel by now. Too bad his fans are left in vain."
