Eccar stepped into Sylmira's chamber with the same casual confidence as always then settling into the cushioned seat opposite her like it was his own room.
Sylmira, still dressed in her pale night-robe, had been pouring over one of her many thick tomes when he arrived.
She glanced down briefly then closed the book with quiet grace, as if to hide any hint of displeasure. Her fingers brushed across the cover gently and she folded her hands in her lap.
Despite the warmth in her expression a quiet sigh echoed inside her. She'd hoped to finish her journaling and call it a night. But it was Eccar. She couldn't bring herself to turn him away.
"What brings you here?" Sylmira asked with smooth voice.
"I need help," Eccar said plainly. "A friend of mine has a sister. The girl awakened Magic recently, and now he wants someone to guide her. Someone who can train her properly."
Sylmira raised an eyebrow, her calm expression faltering ever so slightly. That was an unusual request.
