Grace wanted to refute but he was already in his office and she knew for a fact that he did that on purpose, she didn't want to complicate the issue even more so she just followed him as he had asked.
Kyle wanted to say something but he knew that this was not the right time to do that, he had a lot of questions going on in his head right now. Everyone seems to have gotten into a relationship ever since he left.
"You know I need to be with my brother right now right?" Grace said with a cold face, she doesn't want to talk about their issues now, it's too much to take in right now.
"And I need to be with you right now, is that too much for me to ask?" he asked her and she could not bring herself to say anything.
"Mike, you know." she was starting to say but she couldn't finish the statement because her lips were already captured by him, she tried to stop him but he was not even listening to her.
They kissed for a while before letting each other go finally.
"We love each other Grace, nothing else should matter right now," Mike said, he couldn't believe that he was actually confessing his feelings to her but here he was doing it with reckless abandon and he was so unapologetic about it.
"You should stop this right now," she said but Mike was not having it.
"I'm getting a divorce with Patrica," Mike said and Grace stiffened with shock, she could not believe what she was hearing with her ears right now.
"Why would you even do that? That's absurd," she interjected.
"I'm doing this for me, I'm tired of this marriage Grace. I've been in nothing but bondage and I've been slowly killing myself," he said, took her hands and placed them on his chest.
"But you came along and you saved me from dying, I'm doing this for me and most importantly for you. I love you so much Grace and you are the only woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with," he said.
"Mike stop, don't say things that you don't mean, it's not good," she said to him.
"I mean every bit of what I'm saying, Grace. I know that you are still in doubt because of the letter but, I do not care about the damn letter cause I'm sure that I didn't write it."
"Please Grace, let's give this a chance. I know that you want me you have always wanted me and I've been so stupid not to realize what I've been missing out on all of these times, but I know now. And I want to do right by you and prove to you that I love you. I love you, Grace." Mike said.
Grace could not hold in her emotions anymore, she burst into tears and they were tears of joy.
"I love you too Mike, I love you very much," she said to him and he kissed her to stop her from crying.
"It's okay, don't cry anymore, it's not good for a beautiful girl to cry this much," he said to her and she was forced to smile, the trick worked.
"But what about Patricia and my parents, people what are they going to say?" she asked as all of these things were on her mind.
"Don't worry, I'm sure that when we get to that bridge we will cross it, but right now we will just focus on the moment, shall we do that?" Mike asked and she nodded in agreement.
Yes, they are going to do just that, they will both enjoy the moment and give in to their feelings and nothing else should matter because nothing else does.
Jane woke up in the evening with a very strong headache, she tried to move but she couldn't do that, she felt stiff.
She was feeling thirsty so she had to tap the bed to see if there was anyone with her luckily, Christopher heard and quickly moved to her side.
"Hey my love you are awake, I will get Mike right away," he said but she held on to his hand, what she needed right now and not the doctor.
Seeing her gesture, Chris got the message and quickly went to the tray to get her some water, she sipped the water using the straw in the cup and she felt a little bit better.
"Hey, you are good," he asked her and she blinked her eye indicating a yes, she couldn't nod her head and she did not have enough strength to talk.
"Just stay put I will go get Mike right now," he said and she blinked again, Chris quickly rushed out.
"Did something happen?" Mrs Whitney asked seeing him come outside.
"Yes, she woke up actually but I will go get Mike now so he can come have a look at her," he said and left.
Chris didn't think to knock on the door, he opened the door only to find his sister and the doctor making out right on the desk, what the heck? He thought but this is the least of his problems right now.
"Uhmm you can do this later on but I need you to check on Jane right now, she woke up," he said and left the office to go back to the ward.
Grace immediately went into panic mode, she had no idea what he was going to do to her right now.
"Don't worry I'm sure we will find a way around this" Mike said to her and made his way out of the office leaving Grace in there so she could adjust her dress.
"Shit" she cursed, her brother must be so angry with her right now. Grace is right in there sick and she was here making out with Mike. She quickly left the office to go into the ward.
