Chapter 11 - Chapter Eleven

A Month has passed, and everyone seems to be getting along well with the change. Not much is known about this world, or why we landed here with all of these creatures. But one thing is for certain: Star is my life now, and so is the Orkish village we live in. I still love my farm and my blooded family. But those Orkish are just as important to me as breathing.

Or that's what I feel right now with my child on the way. There's just one thing still that troubles me, though. How many islands are there out in the water? What do they hold, and are there any other beings like us, human or Orkish, living on them? We won't know until I get this transponder working better. (Sipping a glass of tea) Star comes through the door looking tired.

"Dear you need to sit," I said to her and she seem to grawl at me like a dog. "What you too!" She then said almost yelling at me like I just insulted her. "No Star, you look really tired about to fall over. Think about the kids, and the child you're carrying will thank you." I said back in a calm and gentle demeanor, making Star come back down to my level.

"You're right, Jacob, I've been so worried about the farm and our garden. That I forget to rest sometimes, like you, but (Sit's down on the couch next to me), do you rest that much either? You're always working on something more every week. This time it's this thing in your hand right now. What does this thing do again? helps you see more land from across the ocean?"

She asked me and I nodded, "Yes, kind of, it more like shows me if there's more tech from my people or others from a further distance. I don't what might be out there so I want to be safe if we make contact with whoever." I said to her and she looked at the door. "You think that coming across your family on the island near ours was just by chance?"

She asked me and I chuckled, "That's just stupid luck on our part that we made contact with his group. Just imagen if that we made contact with a hostile group. They could game over and killed everyone off for our resources." I said to her and she understood my caution of me contacting other islands that might be on this world. (I got up off my seat and I looked out the window.)

"Looks like it's going to rain again. Where are the girls?" I asked and Star looked at me, "You think that rain is going to be a heavy one?" She asked me and I nodded, "That wind is picking up and we are near the ocean, so I think it might rain bad for a couple days." I said back to her and she got back up from the couch. "Ira is with mother and Saf is with your brother feeding the Wyverns."

Star told me and I felt easy knowing they were safe. I went back to the couch and had Star sit with me again. I placed my hand on her knee and she looked at me as the rain started coming down hard. We sat there listening to it for an hour, till that was when Brad came in with my step daughter Saf.

Both were soaked from the rain and Saf was smiling. "She pranked Just with a classic whipped cream to the face." Brad said and I looked at him confused. "What, was he sleeping or something? I asked and Brad smiled, "no Saf waited till he came around the corner and got him with a sling shot."

Brad told me and I started to laugh a bit. "Did you teach her what pranks are little brother?" I asked him and he nodded his head.
