Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Creating Miracles!

Hearing Lin Yi's words and looking at this kid's cunning smile, the principal couldn't help but be taken aback at first, then burst into hearty laughter.

He reached out to point at Lin Yi's nose, smiling as he scolded:

"You little rascal, you're quite the lively thinker. You're right, I've had a special set of exam papers made for you. As long as you can score 650 total points, I'll give you this year's only special admission spot for science students at Fudan University in our city!"

This statement left not only the homeroom teacher stunned, but even Lin Yi was taken aback.

Scoring 650 might not seem like much, but you have to know that last year's minimum score for science students from our province admitted to Fudan University was 698 points!

Not to mention science, even for arts students, the admission score was 657 points.

And that was last year's score, the lowest in recent years. Who knows if this year's scores might break 700!

However, after a brief shock, Lin Yi came to his senses and gave a wry smile, shaking his head. With his current level, he wasn't really interested in such a special admission spot.

If he wanted to, becoming the national top scorer wouldn't be a problem.

Especially since his target might not necessarily be Fudan University; it all depends on where Xiao Zihan ends up. After all, given Xiao Zihan's scores, they would sweep through domestic universities.

Yet the principal saw Lin Yi's wry smile and head shake and couldn't help but feel a hint of disappointment in his eyes, thinking Lin Yi regretted not being able to achieve that score.

If Lin Yi couldn't reach that score, it would ruin his plan to promote the idea of 'Lin Yi working tirelessly until the last second before the college entrance exam, finally pulling off a comeback from being the worst student in the school'.

That's why the principal was willing to give that hard-to-come-by spot to Lin Yi.

If their Third High School could educate the worst-performing students to enter Fudan University, plus having a genius student like Xiao Zihan, how could they worry about student recruitment in the future?

Of course, all of this relied on Lin Yi truly having real skills and knowledge.

"Haha, maybe my expectations were a bit too high. How about this, as long as you can score 620 points, the spot is still yours."

Hearing the principal reduce the requirement, Lin Yi could only smile wryly again, clearly realizing the principal had misunderstood him.

"Forget it, Principal. I understand how important this spot is; let's leave it for a classmate who needs it more."

Seeing the principal's gradually disappointed face and the homeroom teacher blinking madly beside him, Lin Yi smiled and continued:

"Haha, didn't you prepare a test paper for me, Principal? Hurry and give it to me so I can do it. There's only half an hour left before school ends, and I'm in a hurry to go home for dinner."

Uh?

Originally, the principal was contemplating to whom he should give the spot when he suddenly heard Lin Yi wanting to take the test, causing him to be momentarily stunned:

"If you can't even score 620 points, there's no need to take the test."

Upon hearing this, Lin Yi rolled his eyes: "When did I say I couldn't score 620 points... Come on, Principal, if we keep dragging this out, I won't even get to eat..."

Noticing Lin Yi's roguish demeanor, the principal hesitantly returned to his desk, picked up a manila envelope, and placed it in front of Lin Yi.

Then he said no more, just stared at Lin Yi.

Seeing this, Lin Yi simply opened the envelope and pulled out the test papers inside.

The strong smell of ink on the paper suggested it was freshly printed.

Without thinking too much, Lin Yi glanced at the test paper, then picked up a pen and started filling it out swiftly.

His speed made it seem like he was scribbling at random without thinking.

This sight made the principal furrow his brows deeply, casting a displeased glance at the homeroom teacher.

As if to say, "Is this the outstanding student with hidden capabilities you've been talking about? Is this how a good student doesn't even read the questions?"

The homeroom teacher felt awkward, avoiding eye contact with the principal, and quickly shifted her gaze to Lin Yi's test paper.

But in the next moment, her eyes lit up.

Lin Yi was working on an English test, and the homeroom teacher was an English expert herself, and she had also participated in creating this test.

Seeing Lin Yi's answers were all correct, she thought, "Haha, I wasn't wrong, Lin Yi truly has hidden his true abilities! Plus, his current answering speed and level is much faster than when he was solving questions in my office last time!"

With newfound confidence, she looked up at the principal, who appeared serious.

The principal, slightly confused, raised an eyebrow, noticing her nodding affirmatively. In the next instant, he too looked surprised—could the kid really have answered everything correctly?

Swish~

Four minutes later, as Lin Yi flipped over the English paper and set it aside, the entire paper, except for the listening section, was complete.

Yet Lin Yi didn't stop but continued with the next test paper.

Seeing this, the homeroom teacher immediately grabbed the English paper to review it question by question.

Ten minutes later, as Lin Yi finished the third paper, the homeroom teacher, with a look of disbelief, put down the English paper.

The principal cast an inquiring glance at this sight.

The homeroom teacher, careful not to disturb Lin Yi, grabbed a red pen from the nearby penholder and quickly wrote down a score—120 points!

Seeing this number, the principal gasped and couldn't help but exclaim:

"A perfect score??? How is this possible!!"

Indeed, it was a perfect score. The paper was 150 points in total, with 30 points for the listening section, leaving the remaining total score as 120 points. This means that even for Lin Yi's English essay, the homeroom teacher gave full marks!

Yet seeing her nod with a wry smile, the principal's eyes began to light up with growing excitement and a smile spread across his face!

The commotion led Lin Yi to pause briefly, looking up at the principal and the homeroom teacher's expressions. He couldn't help but shake his head with a wry smile, "This is what surprises you so much?"

Swish~

While the two were still in shock, Lin Yi completed another test paper.

Seeing the next test was a chemistry paper, the principal, a chemistry teacher by training, focused all his attention on it. He was eager to see if this kid could indeed perform a miracle!
