Betty was in Henry's hospital room with Leticia and they were happily chatting. "Oh my God guess what, I've been promoted at work. I can't believe this. I'll be receiving a good salary, I'm no longer the low rank cleaner, I'll be serving now hahaha"
"Congratulations sister" henry said and opened his arms for a hug. Betty knew that Jack was the one responsible for Leticia's promotion. Earlier that afternoon, Jack made it clear to her that he's not going to marry Angie but rather her and promised that he would woo her if that's what she wants. He made it clear to her that he's not doing this because of the money he paid but because he wasn't to and he will succeed. He even dropped her personally to the hospital. Betty didn't know why she was quiet and following all his orders. Is she doing the right thing?
"Betty!! What are you thinking about" Henry and Leticia said glaring at her.
"Oh I'm sorry, congratulations Lit I'm happy for you"
"Sister are you okay" Henry asked worriedly.
"I'm fine dear, it's just that I have a lot on my mind"
"Don't mind her Henry, it's time for you to go to bed, we're going to have coffee downstairs" Leticia said. Lit knew that Betty wasn't in her right mind, she used that excuse to know the reason. Henry was a very smart child, he knew his sisters needed to talk so he also wished them goodnight and went to bed.
"Betty tell me, what's the problem" Leticia asked when they left Henry's ward . Betty saw a bench and sat on it.
"Lit , Jack Smith was the one who paid the hospital bills" Leticia sat by Betty and asked "What, Angie asked for help for you? I thought she was bad , wow I'm impressed.."
"No Lit, he overhead our conversation that day when I went to the restaurant.. He wants to marry me " "What!!" Leticia shouted. A nurse passing by said "This is a hospital young lady, please act well" They apologized and went to look for a place near the the hospital to chat.
"Betty, is he not Angie's fiancee?" Betty nervously explained everything to her best friend.
"Wow I didn't expect, but you admitted you feel something for him. You should marry him . He's going to change our lives Betty."
"No , I don't want the Rockson's to think I'm snatching what belongs to them"
"Come on , Jack Smith doesn't belong to them. Betty whatever decision you make I want you to know that I'm supporting you. But please think about it... You're falling for the man and it's already obviously " They stopped talking about the marriage and changed the topic to something else.
*At the Airport*
Daniel Payne was waiting for Ellen's arrival. He didn't know if he had the time wrong because he's been waiting for a while now and Ellen Smith wasn't coming out. Just when he picked his phone preparing to call Jack, he felt someone hug him from behind.
"I knew you'd come for me my dear, it's been three years. My love for you is still the same. I've missed you Danny" Daniel froze. This was the reason he didn't want to come for Ellen, she's been in love with him for years but he didn't want to loose Jack's trust so he took her as a joke and tried his possible best to ignore her. But Jack insisted that he picked her up from the airport and a part of him wanted to see her again.
