Kore woke up to the sound of his roommates chatting with each other. "Oh, you are finally awake, Kore." Zyn said, seemingly having had no worries about Kore at all. "You have been out for a whole day." "A whole day?" Kore answered, shocked. "How did this happen?" "You nearly died from a punch in the stomach." Leo replied. "You should be happy that you were only out for a day thanks to me."
"By the way, Now that you are awake and healthy, you should read this. " Zyn said as he tossed him a letter with Kore´s name on it. "It is the letter we got yesterday about all the school information."
Kore sat up, opened it and gave it a quick read.
It contained only basic information about how life would be at the academy, as well as information about teachers and other things one might need to know about this school.The thing that was actually important was the thing with money. On the backside of everyone's student ID card, there was a number. That number was how much money you had. Every month you would earn 5 points. That really wasn't much, and you would just be able to eat one cheap meal. But here comes the big but. But you are able to earn points by going out on missions assigned by the academy. These missions were mostly things like helping clean the academy, but every now and then, portals to underground dungeons get opened by the school. These are so the students can train their abilities in actual fights. Of course, if you go into the dungeon you have to keep a watch, so they will always scan the enemies around you and be there to help if there is one too strong for the student to handle. There are a lot of materials you can get from these dungeons, so it's the best way for students to earn points.
"So school is going to start in 6 days?" Kore asked.
"Yes," Leo replied. "Most people, like Zyn, came here already last month, so I personally think it's a bit late to say that now."
"Yeah," Zyn answered. "It was really a pain in the ass being here all alone."
Something Kore noticed right now was how much Leo spoke right now. When he looked at Leo, it also seemed like he wasn't tired at all. At least that was if you compared it to yesterday, because with his messed up hair and nearly closed eyes with eye bags under them, one would still think that he hadn't slept for about two days. That was a big step ahead, but still not so good.
"I think I need to go take a walk," Kore said. "Laying in bed for that long is really tiring."
"Bye," both Zyn and Leo answered, as Kore was on his way out.
In the letter from the academy, there was also a small map of the island. He took that and soon found himself in a park. It was just like every other park you would find. It had a lot of trees and grass. There were some benches one could sit on to relax in silence.
As Kore just wanted to sit down a bit, he heard a familiar laugh. "Haha! Look at it s whining! " A voice that sounded like Turb said. "That's hilarious!"
The voice came from behind him from a small forest, if you could call it that. Kore knew he had no chance against Turb, and it sounded like there were other people with him too. If he just went there, Turb would probably beat him up because of the things that happened yesterday. He wanted to continue his walk and ignore Turb until he heard something again.
"Huh?" Turb spoke again very loudly, "Is it dead?"
Kore turned around again, hearing these words. If Turb really killed something right now, it would be something Kore wouldn´t be able to handle with his heart. After hearing Turb laugh again, he decided to sneak behind the trees and see it for himself.
"Are you sure this is okay, Turb?" Another voice that could be heard now asked.
"You killed it right?" A new voice spoke up once more."They might kick us out of here before the lessons actually start."
"Don't worry." Turb answered the other two with a smile. "Nobody knows right? Let's just go home for today. "
After the three left, Kore appeared behind a tree and looked at where they were standing before.
Before him now was the corpse of a dog. Without going into detail, let's just say that the dog didn't look that good.
