"Knock knock knock..."
The sound of knocking was heard.
Returning to the East Sea from Sichuan and Shu, the dozing Jiang Chen opened his eyes, his legs still propped up on the desk, looking quite laid-back.
"Come in."
The visitor was Luo Peng.
"Tsk, working so hard? How about you take a nap first, I'll come back later?"
"Get to the point."
Jiang Chen pinched the bridge of his nose, speaking irritably.
He really didn't sleep well last night, what with the bus and the plane back to the East Sea, and hardly rested on the way.
"Every time I think of you working overtime tirelessly, I feel like sitting on pins and needles, a fishbone stuck in my throat, a thorn in my back. Now seeing you so exhausted, I feel at ease."
Young Master Luo was still the best bad friend, joked a bit, then shifted to being earnest.
"You're back just in time, I was planning to tell you, I'm thinking of taking some annual leave."
"Something up?"
Jiang Chen put his legs down from the table.
"Nothing."
