Chapter 5 - Super Moves (5)

"Sonic Step"

Kaza's Clone shot forward, his Ki flaring in sharp pulses. His body blurred as he moved, afterimages hanging firmly in the air like ghosts behind him.

'This is exactly why I wished to have Cerealian traits'

Kaza's Evolved Eyes whizzed in their sockets, diligently tracking.

His clone entered striking range, winding up a punch with perfect form.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!

A gold-tinted shockwave echoed out through the atmosphere as fist met face, the punch landing on Kaza's jaw.

He didn't budge, his feet rooted to the ground.

"No no no... you've got it all wrong! This is how your supposed to do it!"

Kaza saturated his body with Ki, golden aura pouring off his skin as he effectively multiplied his speed by 10 for a single moment.

"Sonic Strike"

He caught his clone with a sharp uppercut, all the muscles in his clone's face loosening as the strike lifted him up off the ground.

His clone pivoted and recovered quickly, anticipating the next attack.

Kaza pointed his finger, scolding him.

"Ordinary attacks just aren't good enough at this level," he explained. "If you're not using Super Moves, you're wasting time!" he said emphatically.

Golden aura seeped out his skin once more as he triggered Sonic Step again.

While he travelled, he opened his palm, a prismatic, rainbow colored orb swiftly appearing in the midst of his fingertips. Kaza then squeezed his hand into a fist, clamping down on the orb. In the next moment, the ethereal rainbow colour surrounded from his fist, glowing as he threw it forward.

"Stardust Punch!"

BAAAAAAAAAAAAANGGGGGGGGGG!!!

The atmosphere protested in horror as his clone flew backward, his whole body straightening like an arrow.

'It's even more effective than I thought! I'll have to make this my default strike from now on!'

The force produce by the strike was actually secondary. The majority of the energy in a Stardust Punch went towards piercing a target's aura barrier and attacking them from the inside out.

Prismatic Ki glowed from within his clone, wrestling vehemently with his regeneration factor, on the verge of destroying his body entirely.

'Our Ki reserves are so deep that there's no point conserving all our energy. My Ki Control is also precise enough that I can spam Super Moves without depleting energy excessively.'

This was the insight that formed the foundational principle of the Dragon Style.

'There's no doubt about it! In Dragon Ball, the best strategy is just to spam Super Moves!' Kaza concluded emphatically in his mind.

This was the perspective that enabled some of his clones to consistently beat out others of the exact same strength level. Perhaps if they were ordinary Saiyans or Humans, a more nuanced strategy might have been better.

However, for super-juiced Bio-Androids? Nothing could really compete with spamming Super Moves.

"Super Dash!"

Kaza felt like a meteor tearing through space, dense aura surrounding his body as he surged towards his clone at top speed.

His clone grunted with apprehension, placing two fingers on his forehead.

PYUUU!

"Multi Final Kamehameha!!!"

He smoothly executed Instant Transmission, teleporting a few hundred meters away. He then decided to splurge, digging deep into his Ki reserves. Nine Ki Clones materialized alongside him, blue and yellow energy orbs pooling between their palms. In fluid, synchronized motions they all threw their arms forward, firing directly at Kaza.

'That would probably kill me if it hit'

Kaza's battle instincts roared to life as he watched the ten beams coalesce into a mighty stream of obliteration. Time slowed down and his already sharp mind spun into higher orders of calculation.

'He's already split into ten clones which is annoying'

Since more clones were made via Ki Control, the pool of Ki he was fighting against didn't actually increase. Yet since there were more of them, the number of straws they used to draw from that Ki pool had increased, granting his opponent more flexibility.

Evading with Instant Transmission wasn't the move as his clones were probably anticipating already.

'And I can't match that much firepower straight away... I think this technique makes the most sense'

"Perfect Barrier!!!"

The full weight of Kaza's concentration moved as he raised his index finger. Immediately after, a dense golden sphere appeared around him, electricity crackling across its surface.

"Hmph!"

He stretched his arms outward and the barrier expanded, the stream of obliteration resisted as it slowly encroached, shrinking but not weakening the barrier.

"Tch!"

PYUUU!

Kaza's clone grumbled in frustration. His nine counterparts fizzled into mist as he executed Instant Transmission, appearing directly above Kaza's barrier.

"Stardust Punch!"

He raised his fist, a prismatic glow swiftly expanding from it. He then accelerated down, Super Dashing towards Kaza as fast as he could manage.

'Thankfully I saw this coming'

Not wasting a breath, Kaza joined the base of his palms.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

A terrifying echo swept across the landscape as Kaza's clone pierced the barrier, the prismatic shine shimmering from his fist increasing as he descended.

Unperturbed, Kaza drew his palms back.

"What!?"

A spark of caution flickered in his clone's chest. An ethereal prismatic orb condensed between Kaza's palms, Kaza's form not matching the technique he was trying to execute.

"Hmph!"

With redoubled vigor, Kaza's clone poured more Ki into the diving attack. His speed increased and he fell from the sky like a lightning bolt, immediately entering striking distance.

Kaza finished charging, throwing both his arms upward.

"STARDUST KAMEHAMEHA!!!"

The expression on his clone's face darkened.

Genuine fear overwhelmed him for the first time. His danger sense and battle instincts screamed together simultaneously, accelerating his perception just enough for him to react.

PYUUU!!!

He executed Instant Transmission immediately, abandoning his attack the way a deadbeat abandoned his child.

He was rendered speechless for a second as he watched a prismatic beam erupt from Kaza's palms like magma from a volcano, a bright pillar of ethereal energy illuminating the skyline.

The sight was sobering. The desire to fight faded.

"If we're capable of producing that, I don't think we need to stay in here any longer," his clone muttered rationally.

PYUUU!

"Spirit Sword!!!"

SHLIIIING!

Kaza appeared out of nowhere, a shard of piercing Ki wielded in his grasp. With a simple wave, he cut his clone in half, separating hips from abdomen.

"I... I surrender," his clone confessed, raising both hands up.

"Awwwww what!? We didn't even get to beam clash yet!" Kaza protested, retracting his energy sword.

His clone cracked a smile.

"Now this might just be my opinion... but I think we're strong enough to start exploring the Earth. Commander Red isn't that formidable, not even in this timeline," he confessed.

Kaza grinned involuntarily.

Maybe Stardust Kamehameha was a little overkill.

"We still around 70% of our Senzu Beans left though," Kaza said, pointing behind to the container. "The original plan was to use all of them," he reiterated.

"I mean... you can stay in here if you want to," his clone responded with a shrug. "The Earth Questlines aren't that demanding and with our current level of possibility, we could complete them all in a few hours," he explained.

Kaza put his hand on his chin, only now remembering how sharp it was.

"I guess you have a point," he conceded.

He thought about it some more.

"Fine, we can go have a look at the Earth," Kaza agreed.

His clone smirked.

"Actually... you can stay here. I'll complete the storylines for Bulma and Chi-Chi while you can continue to be a battle freak in here," he jabbed with a smirk.

Kaza's face fell, wanting to get a word in but his clone spoke quickly.

"We still haven't figured out how to do Janemba's moves right? The Disassembly Teleport and Portal Creation? You can work on that while I work on our harem," his clone continued.

Kaza raised both of his arms, trying to grab his clone by the head but his clone resisted him, only now displaying his strength.

"I'm serious!" his clone persisted, barely containing his laugh. "You can stay in here and grind out our skill tree. You can leave all the romance and adventure to me," his clone finished, sticking his tongue out for added insult.

"Are you done?" Kaza snapped, floating back and extending his palm in defeat.

His clone chuckled as he received it, their forms moving in and collapsing on each other. For a few seconds, an indiscernible human-shaped blob writhed violently in the air before the figure of a man once again emerged.

PYUUU!

Using Instant Transmission, Kaza teleported to the Senzu Bean container, eating one swiftly.

'To be fair, it probably is time to get out of here'

Three days really felt too short. That wasn't even 15 minutes in ordinary Earth time.

'But I can't deny the progress I've made, I guess there's no point in doing something unnecessary'

As much as he wanted to chalk it up to his insane Bio-Android body, that alone wasn't enough to explain the tremendous growth they made.

If anything, the ridiculous progress they made was primarily enabled by their consciousness. Since Kaza was a transmigrator, he had a relatively deep knowledge of the Dragon Ball Power System. At every step of training, he had a clear and fixed goal in mind, constantly comparing his current position to something in the original series.

That knowledge was the platform that his overpowered body stood on, able to grow and develop almost immediately.

PYUUU!

"Alright Earth, let's see what you've got!"
